Ur acting like people are paying irl money for this gear LOL
If you canât understand ordinary human beings and emotions, with the case of someone just choosing to walk out on a negative player experience of being 2 shot in a competitive game, I canât help you.
It has been like this since day 1, nonissue.
The âGAPâ in current gearing is exactly this: itâs easy to acquire gear, but those who spend more gold at the auction house or work order have a greater number of sockets and crafted gear with better stats before others without even playing PvP, and have a considerable advantage over those who simply do conquest caps and get gear and sockets from NPCsâŚ
Not to mention that by going to raids you can get the 4 bonus sets before other PvPers who donât go.
In WoD it was even better because everyone used the exact same PvP gear from the same source, with the same number of sockets and a specific PvP bonus set, all purchased through the PvP vendor only.
Miniscule difference.
Not considerable.
Realy? go to see the ranked ladders and see armory of any player you wish, full sockets, i doubt they share ypur opiniion.
If it didnât make a difference I think 100% of them wouldnât have the 9 sockets and all the crafted parts they can have.
Yes, it makes a miniscule difference all things considered. Youâre not really going to be losing because someone has more sockets than you.
Getting curb stomped has nothing to do with gear. It has everything to do with blizz allowing Que synchers to ruin the beginner PvP zones like epic bgs.
If you are new to PvP you donât want to Que up for rated bgs. You start with beginner PvP zones like epics. Which are sadly ruined by Que synchers. Not a gear issue!
I dont decide to all of a sudden be a raider and Que up for mythic raiding. I start at lfr and bring my skill and gear on par with the content level.
You are making it more than it is pal.
They have all sockets cause theyâre sweaty r1 players that will take the 1% stat increase over the other team to eke out wins. Sockets are basically irrelevant outside of that (assuming you have your 1 socket for epic gem + 1 socket if you have elemental lens)
Gear is not the problem in pvp, exploiting is. randoms are supposed to be the place that new players can come in and learn pvp and enjoy non sweaty nolifes. Itâs the exploiters and no lifeâs that canât win rated that have infested and made casual pvp unplayable.
We get the sockets just because we can. The actual stat value you get out of them is quite small.
People donât need to spend hours on crate farming though. Itâs just people are insanely lazy and always going to take the path of least resistance. If you took away crate farming, people wouldnât stop playing. Theyâd just go to the next easiest route. Then theyâll enjoy their gear as they do in an rpg.
This is actually awful, even if it is efficient. Spending 3 hours flying around and clicking a box isnât engaging gameplay.
As a prerequisite for PVPing, while not hard, I think Blizzard could do something to make it more fun, i.e. just significantly buffing conquest gains Via all forms unrated PVP. I would MUCH rather play 20 BGs than fly around for 3 hours.
I still donât know why people still get attached to gear after how many cycles of just literally vendoring all the gear you spent months obtaining.
Like itâs the thing with the least longevity in the entire game and some people are still trying to make it a chore to get.
Iâm not saying I disagree with you. BGs give incredibly poor rewards for the time investment.
All Iâm saying is gearing has never been easier, and yet we STILL have constant complaints about gearing being âtoo grindyâ
But, it isnât sweaty R1 players it is human nature. Like why wouldnât you use every advantage such as sockets and enchants?
Like I donât get why people complain all the sockets, enchants, and gear are available to everyone?
Cause it takes time and gold? I havenât used more than 2 sockets all xpac and I got legend on this toon last patch with just weapon enchants and no embellishments/sockets just cause I didnât feel like using gold and crafting mats.
I get why people want gearing or would want templates but people complaining about needing bis are misguided
Sockets are actually a great idea imo. It gives a way to earn gold for people who donât care about that extra bit of power, and also gives something to work on for those who do the MMORPG thing and play one character and donât mind investing in it.
Donât need addons for this. I just do it solo.
If you PvP and enjoy it, gear is a non-issue. We had templates and the majority of players didnât like them.
I used to think that way. But the gearing process is just horrible.
Doing BG in pve hear meann gwtting 1 shotted till you get enough honor to be able tobafford just being weak.
Then you enter the misery of going negatives stats in rated till you can farm enough conq to compete.
Or, you waste your precious time doing war crate farmingâŚ
Crate farming wouldnât existe if the gearing system was a fun part of wow pvp.
