In lore, why we suddenly forgot how to fly, and only in the new region?

It’s not a lore reason, just a gameplay one. Those two don’t always line up with each other.

Lets see, Dead flying mounts need a million anima plus 60 rep quests to become exalted with your pet. Then for phase two you need 1 trillion gold and rep grind to exalted with your flight trainer to be able to fly…by the time you get all that…it should be about time for the next expansion. OH!! and check out the new flying mount in our store the flying cash cow…but it won’t fly until you unlock flying but we love your money.

Basically this. Back in the day, we had a lore reason. Now, they just don’t want us flying and don’t care about the lore.

Man they need to bring back flight licenses. Even if the release of flying stays the same, it doesn’t break immersion.
I want a long questline where we have to demonstrate we can perfectly parallel park a pigeon.
