that trailer at blizzcon is movie level… huricane and war within manduin needs to be a series or a movie.
i remember going to the warcraft movie… kinda disappointing but i got transmog so it was solid enough yet it wasnt on the level of the cinematics blizzard makes.
is it on th table? is it being looked into? especially after the arcane LoL or cyberpunk 2077 series.
They should make it animated, tbh that’s what the wow movie should have been as well.
While it looks great, they’d be burning cash
They should do something like Miles morales spiderverse animation.
I’d give a tv series a shot if it was even a bit lower quality than these highly polished cinematics.
I don’t think the last one went well(warcraft movie), but yea, the CGI on that trailer was good.
That’s insanely expensive, time consuming, and not worth the risk.
Doing a similar thing nearly tanked Square.
interesting level of animations. took a bit to get used to but i appreciated the movie story telling more with that comic book esc cuts.
do you think the burning will be offset by the interest it brings to the game etc?
wahat was squares?
My point is it’s really not worth it. They did this with the wow movie and it was a failure, took resources away from the game and def didn’t give us many new players besides a genuinely small handful.
It doesn’t matter how good a show we put out, interest is waning for wow because we’re one of the only games that still requires a subscription to play in a free to play world.
yeah true. it only became a break even investment since china saw it over and over again.
Maybe they partner with Amazon to produce it but for real the artists here are immensely talented.
Dunno if you have watched any of the prime D&D cartoons, they are pretty good.
Would for sure tune into a 10 episode series working through each game.
Season 1, Orcs and Humans
Season 2, Tides of Darkess
Season 3, Wacraft 3
Season 4 Frozen Throne
Season 5 Pivot to Hero journeys like thrall and jaina.

There is a vast difference between making a cinematic and a full movie or tv series. Both in terms of time it takes and resources it would consume.
Still blows my mind how real the orcs looked in the movie tho. So Good!
Tbh they looked just as good as thrall did in the cinematic
