Best you can do is use emotes… they are automatically translated if you just need to communicate simple things like “attack that” as well as raid markers since “kill skull” is universal.

Yea but if you want mana biscuits or lock cookies or hero would be very helpful or tell about a boss fight

Many Japanese based MMOs, which often have non Japanese as their primary userbase, have implemented language neutral emotes in easily accessed menus that can communicate common ideas clearly. That would probably be a great enhancement to the user interface for a lot of reasons.

Imagine a pop-out menu accessible with one click: need mage food, attack this, heal me. Some of these are text based emotes right now but could be improved to incorporate floating graphics like the target markers.

Translator . Translator is a tool made for entertainment purposes to allow players to communicate while obscuring their messages from the public and as a bonus will translate through same-faction languages if the speaker is also using this add-on, even if the recipients do not “know” the used language.

Language Translator

Google is yer friend.

This would be a FANTASTIC addition in my opinion. I’ve seen a couple mobile games use it, in practice some slang and words don’t get translated but the technology is absolutely good enough to get the job done. I think it’d go a very long way towards connecting the north and south american communities since they cohabitate servers.

That’s for entertainment purposes only not an actual translator…

Oh welp I didn’t know…

Generally I translate toward someone else first. I’ve roleplayed with a few people from all across the word. Portuguese, French, Spanish… Eh… It is interesting.

So you want Blizzard to open up servers to the whole world ?

They are open to the whole world lol all you have to do is make a account for that location if you have a buddy in the USA or on EU servers

I’m talking about open up US servers to let the whole world in .

They are… i’m from Canada and playing on USA and EU servers

What about a big firewall and make ragnaros pay for it!

Jokes aside, I’m not sure how well a commercial translator would do with wow jargon.

Doesn’t have to be 100% as long as you can say what a boss does so you don’t wipe cause they don’t know the encounter

Is there a addon?

I like this idea and I’d like a translator for acronyms, too.
