In-game timers messed up

Every timer from M+/BG to player started timers are extremely long for me. For example, when a M+ starts my game is still counting down another 60 seconds letting me know it’s starting. This isn’t an addon issue, I was having the same issue with beta and I havn’t installed addons on beta yet.

I have the same issue. I disabled all add-ons and uninstalled twitch client. I renamed the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders. Still have the issue. Complete uninstall and reinstall of the game and still have the issue. Battleground timers are off too. Everyone starts and I still have almost a minute left on my timer. Submitted a ticket and bug report in game. Happens in beta and retail.

I am also having the same issues and attempted the same fixes with no gain. now i have 69 sec for M+ start

Same Issue also affecting arena countdown timer for gate opening and i cant track my stealth because of it.

@blizzardcs PLEASE ADDRESS THIS AND REPLY TO US!

The problem I am having is there is no timer for m+ and my arena countdown timer is about 30 seconds ahead, it finishes and then Still waiting for the gates to open.

Same issue and they refuse to comment or repair it ruining the game.

mines 30 seconds behind so i never know when the gate is opening and its f$#@ing ruining my game.

BG and arena starts always show an extra minute and a half for me, meanwhile M+ gates go down, and I still have a giant timer in the middle of my screen counting down from 100.

same here its been over 2 days and still no reply from ticket

If any of you find a solution please tell me

This seems to be tied to your Windows clock, my timer was off by nearly 2 minutes and was driving me mad. I was able to fix mine by right clicking on the clock in Windows and going adjust time/date and then syncing it.

As Cute pointed out, its a time drift issue for sure.

So I’m pretty confident this is caused by blizzard attempting to compensate for lag, I’d imagine with all of the posts about how you “want to have an ssd for shadowlands” this was an attempt to adjust the countdown timers so that they would be offset based on when your computer detects the timer and starts displaying it. First seen on beta, then obviously on live when 9.0 hit. There was a change to the TimerTracker to support the addition of the /countdown being built into the game now. This is fixed as of this evening on beta I submitted a bug yesterday for it because it actually drove me insane

For the time being I threw together a quick addon that just grabs the offending timer and kills it. the downside you don’t have a timer at all… the upside you don’t have an outrageously inaccurate timer and its very simple if anyone wanted to review it. I expect it to be a bandaid til the fix on beta gets pushed to live but man… if it didn’t drive me crazy anytime we popped a key https://github.com/namelessrogue/clockbuster << this will turn it off all together so for you arena folks its gone, can’t time your junk. for key folks its always 10 seconds. Doesn’t affect DBM or Bigwigs /pull timer for raid/m+/whatever only the new /countdown.
