In-Game Rating System

Personal opinion, but I think WoW needs a rating system for players that either can replace Raider-io or Raider-io should expand their rating system. I think there is a demand for an add-on or feature that can “rate” people who leave M+ early. I see so many threads on implementing a system to punish leavers, but I think a better idea in my humble opinion is to show a score based on how often they leave a M+ early or fail a M+.

To me if you have a 1k Raider-io score but leave 25% of your M+ keys early I’d rather take the 850 Raider-io with a 90% commitment to key timeout. Of course it’s a 50,000 ft overview so don’t get so caught up in the details. “What if someone else leaves first and then I have to leave because the key is shot.” Suck it up buttercup. I’m sure that can be figured out.

Thank you guys for listening.

Lmao right!? I can see this being abused SO quickly

What’s a 112 know about M+

This can be abused in so many ways. I see the good intentions though.

I think at random, you should be able to rate your experience with players. Say, 1 in 20 LFG queues, you can rate your experience with players.

Just wait for Blizzard to incorporate Raider IO into their UI. They’ve already added M+ to the armory, so players can more easily spy on party members and judge them based on their latest runs. It’s a first step into full assimilation.

Then the system will have amazing Blizzard rules that only benefit players, just like deserter buff does now…

I’m all for no Raider-io, but it just seems there is no getting away from it at this point.

I honestly don’t see why folks are so against this. Back in the day, you could only play within your realm’s community. So, you knew off the back who to avoid and who were notable players, unless they’re new to the realm or name changed.

A rating on players you’ve played with, at random, with a low chance say 1 of 20 or 30 LFG queues, does quite a bit. Folks who do a lot of LFG, will be able to rate more players than those who don’t do it that much. To prevent abuse, you can only rate that specific character once every 14 days.

Not only does this promote a friendly community but it’ll put a mark on folks who are clearly not the most positive to be around or with. Main folks that would be against this, are those who are troublemakers themselves, to some type of extent.

TLDR:

  • Good to build a reputation over time and eventually can have a last 90 days rating
  • Allows players to rate their experience with one another
  • Ratings are anonymous. So, you don’t know what folks gave you when received.
    • There should be a separate area in the Character Sheet that displays rattings you’ve received.
  • A cooldown on rating someone one time per 14 days since that rating
  • Has a low chance of being able to rate a group of players. As an example, let’s say of 1 of 15 or 20 LFG runs
  • Put rewards and continue putting rewards, to incentive the community to be more friendly towards each other.
    • Those who are friendly, good leaders, etc… Should be able to opt in to sticking out within the community
      • To expand on this: A unique title, a flare on their character when inspecting or a buff that shows on them, or a unique symbol that shows on their player frame.

In my opinion, this would be a good combination mixed in with Mythic+ and can be applied to all areas of the game. As it ties into everything that involves socializing with players.

Here’s the problem. I run +14 and +15 keys. There is about a 1% chance I get an upgrade, so I don’t do it for the gear. I just like running keys. If I’m in pug and we’re less than halfway through the dungeon and it’s clear that we’ve missed the timer, I’m likely going to leave at the next wipe. It’s become a waste of my time to continue and no one in the group is really gaining anything by finishing a failed key.

I agree that deserters are a problem for people doing keys at +10 or lower because there’s gear at the end that people could actually lose. But I don’t feel that I should be penalized for leaving something that’s a clear waste of my time.

raider io should 100% be an in-game feature.

not gonna lie, it added about a month of fun to my experience.
without it i would have lost interest A LOT quicker.

*i’m not sure about additional features though; i guess, why not.
