What happened to the in-game racial languages? I click the little option to change from Orcish to the racial language but it still just shows chat in Orcish.
Anyone else have this issue?

Strange just tried it, didn’t work.
Though i don’t know if anyone else who doesn’t speak Vulpera just heard gibberish.

As to the OP, no I don’t have this issue, but I also haven’t tried changing my language in a very long time.
Works for me, just tested it.
It used to show your races language in blocks next to what you typed.
Anything you did other than click your language?
Simply clicked my language. Spoke in /say chat too.
Blizz gives free sex changes because they’re worried about the LGBTQetc. community, but takes away languages because, well, they actually don’t care. Typical chinese protocol

I’ve done it recently, only worked in /say, not in /party or /guild, and the blood elf next to me saw gibberish. I didn’t speak Thalassian either.
They work. Arcane linguist got nerfed for no reason, though.
Ahh. That might be what they changed. Maybe left languages for RP but took it off of guild and party chats. That’s too bad though.
I wasn’t able to find anything about it anywhere when looking it up. Would’ve been nice to let us know of the changes.
Works fine for me. 100% chance it’s caused by an addon.

Languages only work in regular dialog AKA /say or /yell.
Party Chat, Guild Chat, etc, none of that is affected by languages.
That’s probably because Curse of Tongues would be real OP if it also made the target incapable of communicating with their teammates because they can only speak Demonic lol

My Arcane Comprehensive doesn’t work for ally languages anymore. I blame those shifty void elves, they can still speak and understand Thalassian.
I never understood how the languages worked, except for DH. That was useful but otherwise, it was always over my head.
I have noticed that they’ve removed quite a few QoL things from the game though.
Maybe that’s what happened?

I am having this trouble as well.
I am trying to speak in Taurhe or whatever, to name some pets in the Tauren language and its coming up as Orcish.
Some of the languages work and some don’t. I don’t understand why.
edit: Now it randomly works. I didn’t change anything that I did before. I don’t get it.
For me, as others have stated, I noticed it only works in /s and /y
If you’re using addons, most ignores racial languages. Also, for some reason, it only works in /say or /yell.
Works for me, just chatted with a void elf.
