It’s high time we had the chance to customize which tracks we want to hear in-game and when.
There is so much glorious music to behold, and while it makes sense to have tracks tied to specific zones for immersion experiences, it also wouldn’t hurt to have the ability to play tracks outside of their respective zone if we want to.
Specifically, I think this would help with constantly hearing the same tracks when in dungeons. Constantly, I hear the same track on repeat. I wanna listen to the glorious tracks that this game has to offer, but I want to be able to listen to them regardless of where I am.
I can’t imagine why we don’t have more options regarding this after this game being around for 13 years. It just makes sense. There are some incredibly beautiful tracks which hardly ever get heard because they’re tied to zones which we have no reason to go back to. We’ve out leveled and completed all there is to do there.
Who here agrees this could be a greatly enjoyed addition to the game we love?
Would be nice. Music helps a lot with a game and if you’re stuck listening to the same tracks the brain is gonna be bored and practically scream for something new to process.
Personally, I like the specific tracks for specific places. I thought it’d be so awesome to have Grizzly Hills for my Garrison… it’s just not the same. The atmosphere is off. Kinda like if you were watching Jaws and the Star Wars intro theme came on when he appeared instead of the iconic sound of impending doom
I recently swapped the title music from the track “Before the Storm” to the old classic from the Sex Pistols “Friggin’ in the Rigging”. It has a jaunty nautical theme which seems appropriate for this expansion.
I’d like a little music box that you could set down for yourself and others others (it could be muted for other’s sake), or perhaps playable instrument toys.
Not trying to necro just realized I haven’t been able to attend to this in a while.
I don’t particularly like the “use spotify” suggestions or youtube for a couple reasons
You cannot easily move through songs on Youtube, you must re-search every time.
Spotify has annoying ads.
For people, like me, who have somewhat unstable internet, I cannot be using any streaming services at the same time when I am playing wow otherwise I suffer massive latency spikes that could cost my raid/dungeon group. It also could just flat out kill me while questing.\
All in all I think it’s a pretty normal request. Runescape, an extremely less funded and less technologically impressive game than WoW, has had this feature since its inception practically. And it has the most hours of original music of any game EVER.
