So im mailing one 5% gem to each of my alts and this message comes up that i have reached the in game cap of unique mail recipients ? Why is this crap in the game ? Blizzard you guys are so fixated on punishing that half the crap you come up with ruins the game for 99% just to stop 1% .

I think your alts have to open the mail and delete it before you can send more.

Wait, so opening mail on your alts so you can clear the obvious back log of mails you never bothered to check is some how ruining the game for you?!?
I mean, it sounds like an easy enough fix? Also how many alts are you sending gems to that you’re getting that cap?
Some measures need to be in the game because of people who like to try and get your account information by mailing you offers or trying to get gold from you by sending you a sack of flour and putting a gold price to it (That happened to me in BC). This isn’t remotely a huge deal.
It’s to limit spammers sending mass in-game mailings; it’s been there for some time now.
Very easy fix. Open your mail. Its not meant to be another bank. Make a bank alt if thats what you want.
Hey keeping things in the mail like that contributes to server wide lag.

The limit is something like 20 mails.l (per… Hour? Not sure the time frame).
Also most of ya’ll are misinterpreting what the OP is saying. Its not a matter of mailbox backlog. You’re prevented from sending mail to more than ~20 people in x time frame.

You sure you don’t have like 2000 unopened mails on other alts? Go open some mail, see if it clears up.
I literally do WAY more than that in this “scrap meta” - way, way more. i’m constantly making thousands of items to mail to alts to scrap for expulsoms.
