Player characters don’t have last names. So no.

if you mean your title hit “C” then at the top right of the pop up you see a paper with a stamp, click that and you can choose any or none that you desire
Technically it is a “title” , one you chose.
In my case it is jenkins. Was funny at the time I guess but now I refuse to use it. Mostly because it’s over used, and also because I seemed to have used a lower case j 
. So yes, characters sort of do have last names.

Some titles come after your name, some come before.

I love Talon Queen for Demon Hunter, it doesn’t fit with any other class… okay maybe Druid, but Guardian of Cenarius!

You can change the tittle via your title selection in your character menu . If you wish to change the same title to appear before or after it can’t be done on our end.

I rarely use titles I was hopping being a loyalist wouldve given me one but sadly not.

You can fully custimize your character name and others with the addons sees it.
Ok maybe I should clarify. I know you can select between titles as you unlock / earn etc then. I am referring to a specific account wide Surname/Legacy/Heirloom or whatever you want to call it Last name that we were able to use (what feels like decades ago! pun). Once created it goes for every character …
I guess I will have to wait to in-game ticket it, as via the site here there is not a proper support topic to issue a ticket.
This doesn’t exist. It exists in SWTOR, but not WoW. Jenkins is a title reward that goes after your name. It’s from an achievement in a dungeon.
If you are only seeing the name in chat, you likely have an RP addon like MRP or TRP3 and just need to change the name in the profile. Otherwise there is no way to have a last name that you customized.

People have explained it thoroughly, though I’m going to repeat; Jenkins isn’t a surname, it’s a title.
No lie, I only got that title for an alt named Janeway.
you’ve never made a ‘last name’ the title jenkins wasn’t created by you and was given as an achievement for doing a BC dungeon or something
you could never edit it in any way
there’s NO user created last names
unless you mean specifically battle.net last name that never shows up in game and is only used on your friendslist if you add someone via RID

I think you’re confused with swtor or something… last names have never been a thing in wow.
I dont get why blizzard is so stubborn and doesnt just allow a flipping space or underscore so we could break it up to first and last names.
Sure, they’d be really short, but at least allow the stupid option.

We need the option of a single space, apostrophe or hyphen in our name. NPCs all through this game use them.

If you’ve been to other games that allow such you’ll notice that names, last names and titles create an abomination of text that stretches halfway across the screen, it looks awful.
Which can be limited to an extent. And it doesn’t look that bad. We don’t have that many long titles in WoW.
