Ive had this problem for months now, i go in and change settings like, Floating combat text, Show/Dont show helm, Status text in Display
everytime i exit the game and re-enter, EVERYTHING RESET.
its annoying to reset 10+ settings every time, also, i’ve read it could be my files are read-only, but every time i change my warcraft file any, from main folder to subfolder, it finishes and IMMEDIATLY makes them read only agian

config.wtf located in the WTF folder is the one file that you would want to make sure is not set to read-only. This file contains your settings, so as long as that is not read-only you should be good.
You might want to try resetting the user interface and then test it again by changing a few settings. Sometimes problems like this can be caused by addons to this will remove any addons, and then if it works you can try reinstalling any addons that you need.
Also make sure that you’re not force closing the game (using Alt+F4 or just clicking the X if you’re using windowed mode). Logging out properly will make sure everything saves but if you force close the game it won’t have a chance to save settings properly.
The interface settings are not saved for one of my users. Every time I log out or exit the game, I find myself without macros and skills again.
I’ve tried everything I found on the forums and I’m still having the issue. I don’t have this problem with my other characters

Having the same issue. I have reset the user interface and tried logging back in. Issues persists. This issue is happening on several toons.
Same issue on one (1) toon. I’ve cleaned WTF, cache, and interface. Still an issue on only 1 (one) toon.
Same issue for me, also happening only on 1 char.
