Switched to a new M1 Mac Studio for work. When I play WoW my in-game cursor isn’t appearing as the standard “gauntlet”, and is instead the systems default small black arrow. Tried changing the cursor size through the options interface, when resizing, it shows the “gauntlet” in the selected size for a second, then goes right back to system default. Also tried ‘CursorMod’ addon, but it still will not change. Anyone else the games on a Mac having this issue or know a solution? On Ventura 13.6.6
Maybe 3rd party mouse or screen software present not letting wow have focus
Also, since it is apple silicon HIGHLY recommend updating to sonoma. Sonoma is great for apple silicon (but bad for everything else)
I am also having this issue. Mac Studio, Sonoma 14.4.1. My cursor is consistently showing as the hardware cursor and I often have to click twice on the screen to interact with things using my mouse (Logitech g600). When this happens, my mouse cursor weak aura also disappears, as if the cursor was moved off to another screen.
I was actually able to fix this for me. I have two monitors and under the settings, it had Monitor 1 selected instead of Primary. Switching the monitor to Primary returned the normal cursor and seems to have gotten rid of the window going inactive.
Generally speaking I enable 'set each monitor as it’s own space" so that when wow is on one screen, it’s sandboxed to one space. solves cursor and performance problems caused by pixel width of desktop spanning all screens. each monitor is a separate desktop/space.
It also prevents other screens from going black when a game is in full screen mode, as they aren’t different sandboxed spaces. Making it easier to keep a browser or video or whatever on another screen
this fixed it for me! thank you! I am on Mac mini m2 sequoia 15
damn that works, but only on my laptop screen cuz that’s the primary one. I can’t get the cursor to stop reverting to the system cursor on my external monitor
