In game character ratings like uber?

We have io which is good and all but why isn’t there a hidden system (so you cant see our own score) where people can rate each other at the end of dungeon or before they brick the key? Ratings for gameplay, friendliness, leadership, etc. Better yet we can type custom comments for future people to read. I think uber and lfyt have this system down really well, now lets add it to wow

Agreed. A rating system like Yelp or Google Maps would provide useful information and wouldn’t be abused at all.

Hmm. Think there is a song called Yelper’s Special that would fit this thread.

Why? So every sweatlord i decline to duel over and over can make a rude remark, and rate-bomb my character? Sounds like a really, really great way to troll people.

They can only rate you if you invite them and maybe add a 10 minute buffer to avoid joining just to leave a bad review

I think ratings could be too easily abused.

But, I think player commendations that you can then use to purchase valuable and rare items would be amazing!

google reviews are a usefull tool here in australia. After every weekly upload of the dashcam australia youtube channel people go to the various businesses who’s company cars are shown blowing red lights or road raging and give them 1 star ratings. Its a valuable service

Eh, plenty of games got rating systems.
It doesn’t have to be abusable, it can contain only positives for examples.

all draenei would get 0 stars from me. all ren’dorei would get -10 stars.

Id review bomb everyone for fun

Thats why

Very bad idea , some players would be toxic by giving a player a bad rating because they beat them on the dps meters.

Dont say it wouldn’t happen because it soooooo would.

Is it really a rating system if it’s only positive though?

I too want wow to be more like black mirror’s nosedive episode

So thats how everything with a rating works. Usually the good ratings outweigh the random negative ones or vice versa then you use critical thinking and form your own opinion.

Absolutely.
The only “abuse” is you don’t rate someone.
Now the question of whether it works… In OW I never see how it does much but nobody has complained about the system. I heard positives from League, yet i never played to make an opinion. And I reckon there’s WoW culture factors too. I have no idea how people will respond to these.

With this community? I think the kindest players would still end up with negative scores.

You angered me, because you wouldn’t trade me your loot which I clearly needed more than you, which is also a best in slot for my spec even though you need it for an upgrade and you wouldn’t dps while healing.

I am totally outraged!

I’m going to give you a one star and tell everyone your not worth playing with and have you black listed to who ever I can find.

Sure, nothing will go wrong.

So like just ignore it like the other random bad reviews you read online?

Not a bad idea, but wow, I think it would get abused pretty often. But it really would be nice to be able to tell what kind of folks your dealing with… unless of course you are one of the bad people who then never get into groups, ever again, just because you accidently trained a bunch of mobs onto the group. I’m sure they survived too.

I think you could fix a bad score just like you raise you io from 0 people will look past it and you can build yourself up. Maybe even have reviews expire after a month to keep them fresh
