I have tried completing the quest “In Dreams” twice on 10/3/19 and the quest is clearly bugged. Both times I’ve escorted Taelan Fordring to the point where the inquisitor kills him, and both times his father (Tirion Fordring) shows up and after the quest is completed, I cannot turn it in. One time I lived and the second time I eventually died (and didn’t take ghost form) just to see if different methods worked.
Not only does the quest take awhile to complete because Taelan is an extreme slow escort, but it takes at least 30 minutes to wait on Taelan to spawn in after being escorted by a previous party.
Is anyone else having this issue? If so, what remedied it?

by Classic’s shoddy standards i’d say it’s working as intended…

i believe you have to keep tirion alive till he kills the inquisitor… Then you turn in to tirion.
Yup tried completing it twice and has bugged out both times… This is why a million people are waiting at the quest spawn. One guy in my group tried completing it for 12 hours and said it just won’t stop bugging out and has to live with his green neck piece.
So guys, I encountered this problem as well. I had to do it 9 times to get it to work but here’s what I’ve gathered…
You’ll know ahead of time if the quest has bugged out if the dialogue at the beginning happens or not. If Taelon and his guards just start fighting and you don’t see any dialogue between them, that means that the quest has most likely already bugged.
It’s important for your body to at least still be there when Tirion shows up and kills everyone at the very end, DON’T RELEASE and you should be fine. Although if you are or have a shaman who can stand back up before the “Completion of the quest,” your chances are better that it won’t bug out if everything else has been going well so far.
One final thing is that I think the bug is caused by a bunch of people trying to beat each other to the quest and trying to click on him all at once. If there are a bunch of people racing for him, consider coming back later at an hour where there will be lower traffic.
Hope this helps guys. This quest really tested my patience and I wish you all better luck than I’ve had. Finally got the mark and that’s all I need.
