In Development: Season of Discovery Phase 4

only was 20 mannable pretty easily anyway, so it doesnt matter

Because all the toddlers will screech because they have no friends and can’t gdkp anymore.

If only hunters got anything good in these changes, lion no longer hogging chest and yeah cool we got killshot, shame that’s overshadowed by sharing a spot with sniper training.

“How do you do fellow wow players”

You shouldn’t joke about people not having friends. One day you might realize how that feels.

That was a good one lmao

Not enough of the playerbase obviously.

Achtually it does matter, because its the design you get mad at.

World pvp, rock paper scissors.

With the inclusion of runes the only things that changed are two fold.

What rock paper and scissors are

Rapidly amped dps.

Game mode still persists as it did then, brute force got modified is all.

Still not even close to the size of the casual group so you guys are a non sequitor.

How can they start off so well, only to just completely destroy themselves at the end? Everyone in the three guilds I played with quit during phase 3, once they moved to 20-man raids because filling raids with pugs was nearly impossible. Now they’re doubling down on it, and making it just the thing. I bet Phase 4 will see less players than than phase 3, which already saw a sharp decline in overall log ins, and they can thank themselves for not listening to the community.

I loved Vanilla (not Classic Vanilla) so class design per se doesn’t bother me as much. Nor am I fan of flying mounts. I probably like SoD more than most because of that, but that part isn’t what bugs me. For lack of a better term its just too much “stuff” to try and cram fluff and other things down people’s throats to give them something to do and hope it sticks for each demographic

(and from what I hear, Cata) has decent PVP

After moving over to Cata during the content drought of P3 I can confirm Cata PVP is fun. Really fun. Class design is solid, the gearing process is rewarding and has a good pace to it, BG’s have solid variety, matchmaking is quick and feels sort of balanced (Benediction PVP players are cracked though) and Arena 2’s/3’s/5’s are a fun way to experiment with matchups/team composition that really alter any individual classes play style.

After playing Mutilate rogue for the last few months in SOD, Cata Sub rogue in PVP is a breath of fresh air. Not that PVP matters to every player in SOD, but PVP is a core element for quite a few players that I’ve talked to, and having it be an unbalanced mess in SOD doesn’t feel particularly good as it’s one of the few pieces of content that can be infinitely repeated at the players discretion (i.e. raid lockouts)

So other casters get more insane instant cast damage abilities, but mages get the ability to cast fireblast while casting? What a joke of a dev team. Not sure why you’re forcing mages to a support role, but whoever is in charge needs to be replaced.

Mages are the new CLERIC, too many people have been demanding for cleric so now we have it.

ya its dumb, the best aspects of mage were control, now every class has some ability to get out of our CC. To pair, we are the weakest caster dmg class in pvp as all of our dmg spells either takes 3 seconds to cast, or we go oom from spamming Living Bomb. Clueless about their own game.

They need to add a rune to mages(maybe other wand classes. ring rune?) to allow movement while channeling wand attacks

My guild has easily pugged about 8 spots every week. Always start on time and hasn’t ever been difficult to find people. :person_shrugging:

We haven’t had any issues with those hypotheticals yet. Doesn’t seem like a universal issue to me.
