You’re a warrior leveling through dungeons, logging in after each reset, right?
Guess what, with green gear (the gear everyone wears while leveling), no one is pulling threat off shield slam. Enjoy your 2/2 Improved Shield Wall to boot.
When I was arms and/or fury tanking, I was dependent on world buffs to hold threat against people with world buffs in leveling dungeons. No one pulls threat of shield slam, even if they have world buffs and I don’t.
My advice is to spec shield slam if you’re leveling your warrior through dungeons. The reason no one plays deep prot at high end is because shield slam doesn’t scale well with gear. You’ll never have to worry about that while leveling. Prot > everything else for leveling dungeons.
Survival Hunter. Same thing. 2/2 Clever Traps (Immolation Trap+ Serpent Sting combo + 5/5 unleashed fury on pet) kills everything for 0 mana. You also get improved wing clip, improved feign death which generally cannot fail vs green mobs, and deterrence.
I’ve seen no reason to go further than improved feign death in survival, so I put the rest in beast master. Traps and pets don’t scale well with gear, but my god, in leveling greens, you feel like a god. Not to mention your 2H raptor strike practically one shots greens.
That’s all I have to say. A lot of the guides I read were tailored to people in pre-bis or better gear. Ignore these guides while leveling (obviously if you’re leveling out in the world as a warrior between dungeons, don’t do this).
Happy trails!
