In a change that no one asked for, Heirlooms are soulbound once equipped

I am pretty sure they posted somewhere that they are working on it. And they should be warband bound, not soulbound.

I am in the same boat so I understand.
I’ve had my heirlooms enchanted since 2010 when I got them. Shame I miss placed my enchanted helms…but my mop shoulders survived.

This is like a super insanely small issue. Leveling is already grossly fast not even considering the pre patch event where you can literally get a level in 2-3 minutes.

Leveling content has no teeth. It is the most free of free content and you will feel no difference with an heirloom ungemmed and unenchanted vs with.

I asked for this. I did it the old fashioned way. I called Blizzard. took like 14 transfers 3 call backs and about 6 and a half hours of total talk time. But, to my amazement when they actually did it? lol wow. just wow.

Yeah, I noticed that and failed to understand why it was done. Was there some kind of scam going with my little alts sharing heirlooms?

He isn’t complaining about the heirloom itself but ones he has enchanted and/or gemmed already.

oh no!

/buys new enchant for 50g

Let me know how you go getting those pandaren enchants on your new looms.

Oh no, a non-issue!

Like, you could just as easily print a new heirloom on the alt you want to give it to, and then go and find an enchanter/jewelcrafter to put the right enchant on it or give the heirloom sockets so you can put gems in it.

Oh what a horrible world!

A lot of people seem to have missed it, but this is a bug and it’s expected to be fixed in 11.0.2 patch. link

Does it suck? For those of use with enchanted items - esp the older enchants that can’t be applied anymore, yep, it sucks. (I wanted to delete a few lvl 20s and remake them in remix, but they got looms and I like their names. To delete or not to delete? lol) But it’s temporary. We’ll survive. (Some lvl 20s might not.)

Bonus: For all the wonderful people who feel the need to comment about how it doesn’t effect them, blizz should delete looms bc I, the almighty do not like them, or just remake them with new enchants~~! Ya’ll know this post isn’t for you. Shoo. Buzz away little fly. Go back to trade chat.

It wasn’t a bug.

It was an intended change as the developer literally says. But they changed their minds. The change was made too late to go in the 11.0 patch, so it’s happening in the next one.

Either way this is such a non-issue that it’s honestly mind-boggling that anyone is complaining about this.

Do the shoulder enchants work if the item changes for a lower lvl? Is it still true you can’t apply one until a certain level? Once it’s on though, can a lowbie get the benefits?

Probably doesn’t matter now but never did I think about enchanting them. I’ve been playing without power for so long!

Bro, you KNOW they aren’t complaining about items enchanted with the usual stuff. Older enchants like pandaren ones can’t be applied anymore. They haven’t been usable for years. So if someone has them on older heirlooms they don’t want to lose them. Again, You CAN NOT just put them on a new item.

I’m saying this as someone who accidentally deleted all her older enchanted looms in BFA so no longer has them. Just because it’s not a problem for me, doesn’t mean I can’t understand why it would be a problem for someone else.

Clearly you don’t care tho, so go yap somewhere else.

There are a few like the shoulders that can’t be applied anymore. If you already have them on a heirloom they work though.

Most of them say something like you have to be ~this lvl~ to apply it but it can’t be applied to items above ~this ilvl~ and unfortunately the level squish made it so that those old character lvls/ilvls no longer match up.

Yeah, calling it a bug was my bad. They saw feedback and changed their mind. Sorry about that.

Yeah I’m new to retail and was wondering what the point of this heirloom ring was. Soulbound upon use? No real point.

reading two lines and taking incorrect info as gospel probably isn’t a great idea.

On the other hand… not like it’s required for the pre-patch event.
