Improving chances to get rare mount drops?

Beyond more alts, of which I have 13 that I farm with every week, what can I do? I’m about to give up, because what once was a fun podcast listening ritual I had, has turned into an annoyance on my sanity. Invincible, Al’ar, Pureblood Firehawk, Armageddon… nothing but a Raven Lord, which according to WoWHead, 50% of people have anyway, so it is not special at all. Mount and transmog farming used to be enjoyable, and are now just tedious, and I’m one failed run away from canceling my sub.

You also got the BMAH. But apart from that, only way to get rare mounts is to keep on farming.

This is the only way to improve your chances.

p.s. You do realize raid mounts have a 1% drop rate, correct?

I’m aware, snarkmaster. Still, after over 100 tries counting this evening, I wondered if I was doing something wrong.

I wasn’t being a “snarkmaster” (are you five?), I was just being blunt.

Anyways, here’s some actual snark: over a 100 tries?! That’s adorable. Took me close to 400 tries to get Invincible. Oh and I have all those mounts you’re drooling over :blush:

Nice one. I’m happy for you, and I would’ve hoped those mounts brought enough joy in your life for you not to antagonize strangers on the internet, but that does not seem to be the case. I hope you do consult a doctor about that stick in your rear though, friend!

Just more alts, really. I’ve gotten a large portion of the drop mounts, but it’s taken several years to pile them up along with a large hoard of alts. I completely get your frustration, but they WILL drop eventually.

Just personal experience, but I find it way more tolerable if I take a break for a while. Farm hard for a few weeks, ease up, go back. Breaks it up and helps your sanity when you’re bashing your face against the RNG Wall.

How did they used to be enjoyable? They haven’t changed the system since Vanilla. If you keep farming, you’ll get it. I got Pureblood Firehawk on my first run. Al’ar on like my 5th run. Mimiron’s Head… still farming however many hundreds of Ulduar times later.

No. All non-current raid mounts have a 1% drop rate. I’m not sure about dungeon mounts.

49 alts or a very lucky BMAH bid against someone who’s not willing to spend more than you are.

As for your further responses against Tovi, Tovi’s already said everything I would have anyway.
