Is there any kind of addon that might be able to do something like make it so that when you zoom into first person view you’re still able to see your body? Or does anyone know if there has ever been any kind of official statement from Blizzard regarding the possibility of improving the first person view by making it possible to see your hands/weapons/spell casting animations? I understand that this is likely not as simple as just making it so your character doesnt fade out when you zoom in too close, and would likely require both an alternative first person character model and possibly alternative animations but I think it would be really neat. I love zooming in and playing in first person while doing more basic things like exploring, doing basic quests, etc etc. Has a much more immersive feel to it, and lets you really appreciate all of the effort that goes into crafting the world of Azeroth (as well as the other worlds we’ve played in)
Hi Vixilianne. While I do not know of any addons that would help. Have you tried using the actioncam? It’s definitely a change and I know some people really like it. If you want to give it a try:
- Escape > Options > Accessibility > General
- Change Motion Sickness to Allow Dynamic Camera Movement
- Change Camera Shake to Full
- Close the menu
- Type /console ActionCam full to turn on or or /console ActionCam off to turn off.
Its a sort of over the shoulder 1st person view I guess.
Edit: DynamicCam may be an addon you may want to try on Curseforge
I already had all those settings enabled and it definitely does help to an extent, but the thing that really kills it for me is just not being able to see my hands or even my mount when in first person DynamicCam certainly looks very cool, and I may actually give it a download as well! Not quite what I’m after though as that seems to improve the third person feel moreso than the first person feel, I really appreciate your quick reply though!
