Most of the discussion with the PTR of 8.1 was that Baine was all bark, kept talking about how he hates Sylvanas and doesn’t do anything to stop her but now that he’s undermining her, the goalposts have shifted.

People have complained he was spinless for ever and doing this in the shadows does not change that. Its what a weasel would do he needed to grow a spine and do something in the open.

Also him saying we should surrender doesn’t help.

Your problem is that people aren’t hesitant in performing possibly treasonous actions against their leader the instant their leader does something immoral?

You realize that sort of thing is gradual, right? That no one starts a rebellion on like the first offense of the regime? That you plan this sort of thing out?

Turns out Baine wanted to find out more about the circumstances behind Sylvanas’ appointment before going against her.

There’s having a spine and then there’s suicidal bravado. Him doing this in the open would just be asking for an arrow in the gullet.

Real talk, Horde is not doing well in this war. A suit for peace is not cowardly or spineless when you’re losing. Odds are, you’re gonna wanna get those peace terms sooner rather than later if that’s the way a conflict is going, because the longer you wait in such a situation, the less leverage you’ll have to bring to bear at the negotiating tables.

Idk what you expected, they’re going to go out of their way to hate Baine regardless. The only way their hate will be satiated is if they are gratified in their belief on how he is (ie. Anduin+Baine=❤️) or if he gets killed off.

I hate to say it, but those people are unsatisfiable.

Baine confronts her in the open, gets sniped by one of the Dark Rangers she likely has posted all around the block, one less dissident leader to defy her rule and she can place her own puppet ruler as leader of the tauren.

Sounds like a hardcore Sylvanas supporter wet dream to me.

Considering the narrative BFA sells us, is that bad? Why’s that bad? BFA has given us no reason to fear the Alliance. The fact they didn’t kill Baine and actually worked with him is a point in his favor.

The Alliance cares more for the Horde races than the Horde. The Horde is the one leading the genocidal campaign while the Alliance defends itself.
