Been applying for like 45 minutes and it’s been nothing but delisted / full / declined. I know all DPS have to put up with this and that I should just play a healer or tank if I don’t like it, but I played healer in many of the previous seasons and I wanted to play my DPS in this one.
Being behind the bell curve, histogram plot, of the geared populace is what sucks. I’m 617 but everyone else is 625 or 630 already. I literally have no idea how the heck they do it, I’m constantly crest and valorstone starved.
You are 617, and from what I see on armory you have no M+ achievements for this season. 10s will have applicants with full timed +10s and higher ilvl applying to them. As a DPS competing with the most players, you need to stand out from the crowd or pugging will be slower.
Why are you trying to go straight to tens then?
8s give you access to gilded. 7s give you access to heroic gear that you can upgrade to 619 without gilded.
Doing 8s should have you well past 620 ilvl right now. 30 timed 8s is enough for 4 crafted items to be 636. And all of your hero track should be 619 by that point.
I absolutely will if their experience warrants them being there. Gear is not anywhere even close to being half as important as people make it out to be. It was my key, nobody would invite a 611 prot warrior to an 11 stone vault, but the more you know and the better you play, gear doesn’t mean half as much.
