The Horde quest in Tarren Mills called Helcular’s Revenge is impossible to complete as far as I can see.
The final step is to click on a gravestone in Southshore but it’s impossible to reach due to the PVP guards MASSIVE detection range … back in Vanilla these guards had a far shorter range and it was possible, with care to reach the grave by following the river and heading west.
In Classic this isn’t possible as there’s a guard directly between you and th grave if you leave the river where we used to do it.
After 7 failed attempts I’m saying this is impossible to complete due to this.
Yeah, that zone is intended to be a non-stop PvP zone and that quest relies on you waiting until the Guards are being smashed by your Horde Patriots so you can get to it.
It sucks if you don’t have people around actually doing world PvP but its not impossible, simply requires concerted and organized effort. There are a good number of quests that straight up REQUIRE teamwork like this.
Team work is one thing, forced PVP is totally suckage!
But thanks for confirming it’s not possible to do it in modern times because who on a PVE server wants to PVP in Hillsbrad since 2007?
Just get someone else to draw the guard’s attention. No pvp involved…
I got naked, ran in, clicked it, accepted my fate, spirit rezzed, and turned in the quest.
Don’t piss off the guards and they won’t attack you. Just saying.
