Hey everyone, I’m debating whether to start fresh on the Anniversary Classic servers or jump into the Cataclysm Classic servers. ? Do the Anniversary servers offer a better experience?, or would I get more out of starting a character on Cataclysm Classic? im confused but am curious about your thoughts! = )
Well, it depends. Do you want to play Classic for a year and then TBC, or do you want to play Cataclysm? The answer to this question is the key to your success.

Cataclysm classic is moving to Mists of Pandalandia at some point (I’m not sure when as I’m not interested in Cata or MoP).
Era servers are staying as vanilla classic. According to the forums these are currently dead. I haven’t been over there for a long time.
Anniversary fresh will move to TBC after a year.
Season of Discovery is Vanilla but with a bunch of crazy changes. I only played phase 1 so I’m not sure the current state of it but some people seem to like it.
