I know there are many threads about the horrible RNG of the great vault and how it feels worse than the BFA chest since you put in so much more effort to access all the slots but still get no upgrades.
That being said, which of you other physical damage dealers out there haven’t seen a single weapon since launch? I just counted today that that’s 16 no weapon great vaults! That’s 48 non-weapon items alone from M+ not counting the never appearing raid/pvp weapons for one character! I have two never seeing a weapon so double that number. Many repeat items though week after week. It’s to the point where opening the vault feels emotionally bad each week now in a game that is supposed to bring fun and joy.
I need to know how many other unlucky souls like me exist. At this point I need to find a forum support network since literally everyone in my raid team has had a 223+ weapon for weeks. I wouldn’t care as much if weapons weren’t a 125+ dps increase per about 10 ilvl increase for physical damage dealers.
Also in before the inevitable “I got my 226 weapon week 1” trolls.
Raid and M+ yep every week. I mainly enjoy PvE so haven’t done PvP vault slots as much. I couldn’t upgrade a PvP weapon past the normal drop from a high end M+ anyway. Also for any armory spies, I got my raid weapon luckily after someone else in the raid passed their loot to me two weeks ago. The fact remains a single weapon above ilvl 197 has NEVER dropped for me inside or outside the vault since launch. I got that 197 weapon week 1 in M+ lol…
Still a 226 weapon would greatly and noticeably improve my dps output for the difficult content I want to do.
Yep but to a level I don’t really want from a game I play for fun and good times. I expect the little disappointments (like failed to kill a raid boss for example). This is well beyond that with the 16 week streak.
Of course Blizzard has that data. I wasn’t speculating that we should send that data to Blizzard so they could use it to make improvements.
But if players had an addon that generated that data for us, we could see what was really going on. Which might be embarrassing enough that they might do something about it.
Honestly it wouldn’t bother me so much if EVERYONE else in my raid group wasn’t getting 226 Phials and ish. It sucks when people of lesser skill get to “shine” because they have better RNG and the ones that put the work in end up having to work harder for the same results. Peoples reputations are on the line and shouldn’t have to be put in question due to a stupid vault.
It feels absolutely terrible. On the m+ loot table there are way too few weapons. I’ve upgraded every single other slot. It feels non-random. I haven’t even seen one. As of next week all that’s left is just to collect stygia. Think that’ll be my last roll of the dice.
I spammed plaguefall and sanguine Depths at high keys just to hope my GV would have 1 weapon… And again I’m disappointed with the 15th pair of legs/boots.
I don’t want to PvP for a weapon… Please Blizzard…
I’ve seen one weapon in the vault since december, I passed on it cuz it was a one hander (“I’ll just wait for a 2H”); I’ve been crying every Tuesday since then.
I just created another Alt, it seems to get all the loot, my main on the other hand, gets squat. I really don’t believe in RNG, I am sure there is a Blizzard employee assigned to watch me, and they all sit around saying “how can we F%&^ with him today”, I am sure it is an internal office E’Sport.
That’s why Legion will always be my most favorite expansion. Yes it was good anyways but you started with your darn weapon. Never had to worry about the thing again, just play the game and power it up as you went along. People would argue that you still needed to find things for it, but you HAD the darn thing! Who cares, the base damage was there (well pretty much). The do-das dropped all over the place anyways but weapons are usually a specific boss somewhere.
Every time the topic of weapon drops comes up I remember my poor warrior that went like 3 months without an upgrade. Your weapon on dps is pretty important.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, PvP is the source of weapon upgrades. Want weapon? Do PvP.
They’ve specifically engineered that scenario, so yes, working as intended. They know weapons are the most desirable and impactful upgrade, so they withhold them for as long as possible, to keep you hungry for it.
What happens if you get the carrot on the stick? You stop chasing it.
