Implementing a Raid+

It’s an impossible problem when one has a weekly lockout and the other doesn’t. They cannot exist in the same gearing universe.

This was the vision they discussed for The Maw originally and it sounded amazing. Instead we got a dog-butt time-gate. I liked The Maw but it didn’t live up to its full potential.

Make new loot system

Make it not clunky to use

Give it repeatable end game uses

Example:

Make the different difficulty brackets different upgrade material earnings brackets.

Make these difficulties very distinct and difficult to carry. Make mythic raid legitimately difficult and ilvl normalized. The tuned final progression raid should be done at mage tower scale.

Mythic raid clearing teams should rocket ahead in ilvl, but to an ilvl that is attainable to all.

Integrate GDKP style brokering into the party finder and loot roll window.

This looks like a better idea than the dinar system they just gave us.

SoD a few different forms of raid plus. I thought the rotating BWL dragon affixes were kind of fun as well as the scaling AQ40 bug affixes.

Honestly affixes are kind of cool if the raid is themed around them. And it adds greater mechanical challenge rather than a numeric hurdle.

100% agree. I have played wow for a many expansions now and used to enjoy M+ but don’t anymore. The dungeons are fun the first time around but I don’t like that I have to spam M+ for gear and crests just so I can raid with my guild.

That sounds horrible sorry not sorry. I already do m+ begrudgingly with the stupid hamster wheel of gear upgrading (which is absolutely garbage btw), why would raid+ remotely be thought of as a fun time.

I could see a scaling system like m+ working for raids with 1-3 bosses and very little trash like:
Onyxia’s lair
Gruul’s lair
Vault of archavon
Magtheridon’s lair

I could also see this being a good set up for megadungeons that take a out 1 hour to clear. Dungeons such as UBRS, LBRS, etc.

And instead of a timer you get a death limit for a ten man group.

Have the ten man group with 1 tank, 2 healers and 7 dps.

This gives a better dps to tank and dps to healer ratio than m+ does.

Instead of Raid+

Lets nerf loot distribution in Mythic Raiding, blizzard seems to perfer nerfs as opposed to buffing and balancing things so it makes more sense…

Proposed Mythic Raid Loot System Adjustments.

  • Each Boss can be cleared multiple times on Mythic by reseting the instance (whenever you choose to reset it)
  • Each Boss drops Heroic Level Loot only.
  • Each Boss drops Guilded Crests to allow you to maximse the Heroic Level Loot, and stockpile for your Vault Reward.
  • Each Boss contributes to a vault option unlock for a Myth Track item.
  • You may select one item per week from the vault regardless of how many slots you have unlocked, gaurenteeing you one piece of Mythic Gear, per week. (20 gaurenteed items for the raid each week).
  • The options from available in the vault are determined by the bosses you kill each week - i.e. Don’t Kill Gally, no Gally Loot options that week.
  • If no options available are suitable (items you already have drop again), you can select 6 tokens (if you have filled out a full line of options) to purchase a socket item to use on some sections of gear.
