Why hasn’t this been talked about more? You see the chatter in the forums and in trade chat, people whining and complaining about buying services and such. Blizzard has been on a gold buyer/seller and bot banning spree. Would something like implementing Nano or Enjin coin help solve these issues to begin with, create a channel for people to turn their earnings in game into fiat if they so choose, as well as make it even easier to buy and pay for in game services?
Heck, some Samsung phones come with the Enjin coin wallet pre-installed. I know this would also in turn create a potential pay to win environment, but I feel the pros could outweigh the cons. Maybe everyone else knows something I dont.
Because barely anybody actually uses crypto. The few who do are usually invested in it’s success in some form.
No. Despite the hype and marketing, there are very few problems crypto actually solves. For most things it’s a solution in search of a problem. Wild claims about the benefits and all the great things it will do are made because very few people understand it.
If Blizzard wants to implement a virtual-asset-to-real-currency exchange or marketplace, they don’t need to use crypto to do it.
As far as ease of buying in game services, it’s remarkably easy for the vast majority of players to pay for in game services using a credit card, debit card, or Paypal. For the rest, a Blizzard gift card can usually be obtained.
My Dell laptop came with McAfee preinstalled. All that means is the 2 companies have a “partnership”.
