Any other Venthyr Warlocks annoyed that our covenant skill is useless to cast pretty much ever?
At least having it grant a Soul Shard (or fragments for Destro) would make it worth casting over their filler spell.
As Affliction, it’s at least worth casting in AoE situations, since it counts as another DoT for Malefic Rupture, unless they’ve changed that. (I don’t touch Affliction, so no idea if that’s changed since beta or not). But Destro and Demon have no use for it, even when there’s like 8+ targets unless they all survive for the full DoT.
IC is in a bad state. Adding soul shard generation to it would be a nice boost for sure. I think the easiest way to fix the issue would simply be more initial damage to the primary target, but soul shard generation would definitely be interesting.

It should do damage first
IC is just a glorified curse spreader. It does almost no damage and has almost no use. In fact, it is a dps loss if you cast it on ST situations.
They really think the ~10% buff to the damage on the PTR is enough to make it worth casting? Cause it isn’t. Lol. I used it on one of my guild’s runs of I think council of blood a few weeks ago, and It did a whopping 0.7% of the damage over a 4.5 minute fight. It got used 4 times and did the full DoT the entire time.
0.7%. On a 3 target fight.
Impending needs such massive buffs to even be attractive its unreal. The spell could be instant and a 30 second cooldown and it would still be meh.
