Anyone had the opportunity to compare the two yet? I remember Impale Prot being a flat out monster back in the day, but it was difficult to run it in raids because of the limited number of available debuff slots.

Hi, i did. Impale prot seens much batter in this phase gear than fury prot. Fury prot is fun, that’s it.
I’ve heard good things about impale prot but I main tank for my guild and I’ve been running deep prot and have had no issues with raiding. Also 5 mans are such a breeze I’m still debating if its even worth it to respec. I’m kind of really enjoying improved revenge in 5 mans and I’m not ready to give it up yet lol.
Essentially you can get by with Deep prot for threat unless you are in a top guild full consuming/world buffs/understands their rotation.
As long as you are hit capped, you’ll be more than fine in this raid tier as just Deep Prot.
The problem with Impale Prot, is that by the time you have the proper crit % to make it worthwhile, you might as well go Fury Prot because it will output more threat.
