I’ve noticed this on my ret pally, certain mobs I get the “Immune” in my floating combat text just spamming excessively and endlessly. Can’t find out what’s causing it.
Edit: After testing around with this further, I can confirm the “Immune” spam in floating combat texts comes after casting Blade of Justice.
Edit 2: It might be Consecration? Since Blade of Justice procs that with Consecrated Blade. Just remembered that. Still happening as of today 3/28.
I’m having the same issue. It’s sort of hard to recreate because it doesn’t seem to be the case with every enemy, but I downloaded a nameplate scrolling text addon that shows icons to verify and it’s definitely consecration.
I had a feeling after further testing it was Consecration that was the culprit. I really hope this gets noticed and fixed. I barely see any of my numbers with all the “Immune” spamming in the floating combat text.
For anyone still struggling with this issue, I found that “Immune” was coming from the slow applied by Consecration. There are two spells that are being reported by my FCT when I drop Consecration:
Damage - 81297 https://www.wowhead.com/spell=81297/consecration
Slow Debuff - 204242 https://www.wowhead.com/spell=204242/consecration
It seems the slow is reported as “Immune” even if you’re not talented into Consecrated Ground. I’m not sure if this is intended.
I was able to use a FCT addon to exclude 204242 and I no longer see the “Immune” spam!
