Immersion: the end of the loading screen

Earthcrawl Mines, for instance, is part of the data that is loaded when Isle of Dorn loads in, just like Dornogal. It’s “hidden” behind that phasing wall it’s not a separate zone worth of data that needs to be loaded, like The Rookery.

We got in game crashes, we got other bugs in game, we got missing evergreen content, and you want to add a complex time consuming addition that involves programmers, and artists when they already got a lot to do?

This is not an easy thing you are asking, and should be relegated to a board that says, “If we have time someday”

“part of,” sure.

But is the suggestion here that what is not loaded cannot be loaded another way than it currently is?

Why am I reminded of the swirly light ride from Oribos back in SL?

either way its loading. shrug
My way would be quicker than a mount that has to path, thats for sure.

It’s so immersive to run around in a world that hasn’t loaded in yet.

I know I prefer to be immersively loaded onto a flat screen with a bar that scrolls across.

Maybe a text-only loading screen would be better because hiding the loading is really a gimmick.

I’d prefer many different works of art for our loading screens for each zone, randomly chosen. Seeing the art splashes is iconic, I’m just sick of seeing the same ones over and over again.
