I imbibed Zanzil’s Slow Poison but did not get the 50 traders currency. Do you have to die before it gives you the 50 or is it bugged?

I took the poison yesterday, its ticked off in my Traveler’s Log.
Supposedly it’s impossible to remove but upon logging in today I don’t have the debuff anymore.
It’s never been impossible. You can even purge it with a poison remove.
