Imagine insta inviting all those streamers to beta AGAIN

only for them to literally test nothing

Honestly, I don’t think they view the Beta as a testing period but more of a marketing thing meant to build hype. It is what it is.

People act like its a bad thing. How is it that some view marketing for the game as negative?

Yeah I don’t care. Just open the dark portal already lol

Some people feels like it’s manipulative. Building a bandwagon effect to fasly alter the perception of the game in people’s minds instead of putting gameplay first and making the game enjoyable to play on it’s own… not just something you hop on just because you think everyone else wants to play it.

You know the reason why you aren’t seeing non streamers?

Non streamers don’t stream.

They have literally put in bug reports and those were fixed the next day…

Seems like your are complaining about something you are not even watching.

Troll Skill 1/10 I give you 1 point because I replied.

Ok so before Shadowlands launched I made a forum post saying how a handful of streamers testing the Shadowlands Beta is problematic. I pointed out how a small select group of people making videos highlighting stuff is bad for overall bug finding compared to a traditional beta with a ton of testers.

Blizzard responded by deleting my post saying I was trolling.

Fast forward to prior to launch and Blizzard delayed the Shadowlands launch because get this. Everything was broken. You couldn’t level traditionally, a lot of starter quests were bugged along with a crap load of other various bugs. It wasn’t till that moment that my friends started getting beta invites.

I’ve played this game since 2005 and I have not once received a beta key. And that’s okay I’ve come to realize I never will. But if Blizzard wants to actually have a smooth launch they need to do mass invites to their loyal playerbase and not just streamers who actually bring the community down.

Classic and TBC don’t need marketing to thrive, they do this naturally.

Retail on the other hand needs all the help it can get at this point.

posts like this make me wish they would do separate subs. the amount of micro transactions yall would end up with to justify keeping the servers up with the low amount of people who would “main” tbc would be hilarious to me. classic has never had as many people playing it that left shadowlands. not all of the shadowlands owners/subs. just the ones who have left. when 9.1 drops lots of those people will come back. some of them also will play classic/tbc classic. if you guys didn’t have retail tourists to prop up your numbers? you’d be in for the shock of your lives. pls blizz. separate subs.

I would rather pay more for a sub than have micro transactions.

Also Classic / TBC sells it self, we don’t need streamers…

the fact that people mass left a few months in only to come back for P4 just to mass leave should’ve been a huge indicator that isn’t true. you’d have to pay the difference in subs vs all the retail people who wouldn’t be playing. retail has about 5x the subs classic does most of the time. and we can dip in and out and make classic seem “worth it” for blizz to keep doing. do you want to pay 5x $15 at the lowest amount to keep them out?

Aww. It’ll be okay. :violin:

i imagined it. it was fine.
