I think its cool for people that are excited about it but for me the classic mogs have just not aged very well, everything needs a texture upgrade. Give me new armors all day, the older stuff is just old.

Agreed. I recently collected the 25-man Naxx set on my paladin and was dismayed at how pixelated it looked.

not gonna lie… i think there is a lot of recent stuff that looks very plastic…
the old stuff is old sure, but the graphics give the cartoon illusion at least.
it ruins the magic many times, for example… if you look at kael’thas and rommath chest cloth piece they have in the model… the blood elves heritage armor probably holds a remake for the modern era, guess what… the old looks way better.
of course i prefer badass stuff that is new, but most of the stuff that is new is not badass because they ruin the magic of it.
you bringed the perfect example btw thank you… so as i was saying, the update model for the glaives of azzinoth can be seen in like heroes of the storm or wc3 reforged… it holds the start design showing up very clearly that i really dislike.
The old model does not show that very much, so the not updated to modern era Glaives of azzinoth from bc… looks perfect, i don’t want any updates blizzard

Yeah, with an item like this, they would have to tread VERY lightly updating the model.

All kinds of hoarder, though most of my goods are digital so I just have a lot of flash drives.
The funny thing is, the shoulders that go with that robe have been in the game since BC.
Not even kidding, I remember them by name even: Duskhallow Mantle.
At least I think that’s what it’s called. Some drop out of MT or something. Goes perfectly with them, if shoulders you want.

It is a really cool chest piece. I have it but I would like others to experience the joy of having it as well. 
For me the design is fantastic, but the creativity of new gear is severely lacking.
They take weird risks… Like shadowland’s plate was a divers helmet… Who thought that looked good?
But I suppose risk isnt always a payout
