How?? There’s like a million DPS in queue, very little tanks.
Folks are still picky about what tank you are though.
Prot warrior is the new favorite it seems.
lets be honest, if you were playing a bc or wotlk tank perhaps, but tanking in the modern game is pointless. You do all the damage, all the healing and are immune to anything outside of a raid mechanic. But heres the kicker - its not actually you, its just blizzard making tanks pointlessly overpowered in every aspect.
You’d be a corpse every 30 seconds if you played that way back when tanking was actually “hard”
you are definitely a pug queen, my friend, but you are not timing higher keys if dps are not there. you can’t carry a run, neither can the healer. dps can.
you pulling big won’t help if dps are not killing a pack fast enough. you are limited by your dps, you are correcting your pace according to dps capabilities in your group.
dps is the most important role in m+
Bet you by the end of that new dlc y’all will see dh tanks and possibly pally tanks being the go to most wanted lol
tanking is way harder nowaday than it was “back then”.
I can see DHs. They feel really good. Paladins too. I love my paladin. She does it all.
The one that would have kept you alive, but now I’ll just stand back and watch you die and rage quit.
Its usually how it goes ive noticed and will all the nerfs to survival im hearing going into dks, its gonna be pretty bad for some.
Yeah here he is complaining about people trying to learn the content or gear not going fast enough. Outside of mythic you don’t need to turbo run everything as it’s annoying for the entire team as nobody is ever happy. Yeah no if this guy ever gets into any of my groups I’m kicking him the second he says everyone’s too slow. No reason for his toxic behavior
i mean, blizzard added a blanket buff to tank threat. Because i guess it was too hard to organise the team into playing so now the tank just gets to mash the buttons harder to win. Unlike “back in the day” when if you werent managing the pulls using los even etc. Now its jump in mash aoe button do more damage than the dps and throw in the 5 digit healing then complain that the healer isnt doing enough damage.
Like doesnt anyone remember the countless “healers not doing damage” threads, many posted by tanks because “they didnt take damage they didnt need a healer”
All the sudden that flies out the window because the rest of the group isnt sprinting hard enough to clear a dungeon before the tanks microwave dinner finishes? Seems a bit off to me.
Oh look, i was wondering where garmuck went, well honestly not really. Not even into a week and people are complaining about a few minutes at most. It’s new let people enjoy the expansion. Save your gogo attitude for m+
As a lowly DPS, I have no problem doing a speed run through a dungeon. I’m still learning the new talent tree, and my deeps aren’t going to top the charts, but when I ask the people with damage meters, they seem to think I am carrying my own weight at least. I know better than to “stand in fire”, because my wife always plays a healer, and I am good with most fight mechanics too. At least i would be good with the dungeon fight mechanics if I ever had a chance to actually see them, but in LFG they don’t seem to matter.
There is nothing difficult at all about running as fast as possible, it’s just not something that I enjoy, and it seems like every group I’ve gotten into just wants to play the game like they’ve got something so much better and more important to do waiting for them.
Eeek and peeps saying the wow community is toxic. Can’t imagine why.
Can I use that as an excuse to pull a lot? Just make a macro:
“Hey folks, I’m chain pulling and have a Digiornos Pizza in the oven. Timer’s set to 22 minutes. Either we’re done or I am by then!”
This is the type of mentality MDI reinforces which causes a trickle down effect to lower levels. Speed running always existed but was never part of any rules to a point you go to jail if you don’t
You need to understand if you want your special group that fits your criteria then make a premades of players you want to play with and not with Randoms with random skill level and Randoms personalities- you need to vet and not assume everyone in the world has the same goal as you .
I guess, if you are doing RDF dungeons, you are right. try different, harder content maybe?
“im tracking my uber eats, door bell rings and im out, kgo”
something like that? lol
Its more believable with hot pockets. 2 minutes lol
yeah i recall those threads, they always got insanely toxic as people started saying if the healer isn’t DPSing they’re getting the boot. A healer’s main duty is keeping everyone alive, if they want to DPS on down time then fine but it shouldn’t be forced. If the tank can’t keep aggro or is dying too fast someone’s not doing their job. I’ve personally never agreed with this speed running non mythic stuff though as god it’s always a toxic mess trying to gear or level alts with folk having this mentality. Always pulling stuff that doesn’t need to be grabbed or the tank and healer ditching the DPS behind a group of mobs then demanding they catch up or be replaced
