Too stubborn and/or dumb to refuse to respec. All our priests are healers, all our druids are healers, all our shamans a healers. And here’s me, shadow priest that screams at hunters to not use serpent sting cause i need atleast 3 debuff slots to be useful
Hunters should never be using serpent sting. Ever. If I were running a raid and I saw hunters using serpent sting. I’d give them 1 warning to stop. If it continued than I’d remove them from the raid.
Shadow Priest is infinitely more useful then a hunter. SW:P best dot in the game, Vamp: Embrace for amazing healing, Shadow Weaving for 15% damage debuff for locks. Yes please.
Absolutely I’d bring a shadow priest and give them 3 debuff slots.
the only time hunters should serpent is on ony air phase
shadow priests are unnecessary in raids; a healing priest assigned to raid heals can do a better job at keeping SW:P up
but classic is easy so who cares
I did top DPS on several bosses in MC last week (granted, I got innervated). Now add 20% of that as HPS to everyone in my group. But yeah, totally a waste of space, amirite? That’ll definitely change with gear scaling, but the non-meta spec hate is such a tired meme.
I’ve seen shadow priests in some relatively hardcore guilds do top 5 damage consistently. At this gear level, if you go all in on consumables, you can do very respectable damage compared to other classes with full consumables. The problem is that a spriest without consumables does crap damage. The respectable damage is only due to the fact that bosses die very quickly in somewhat optimal runs. That said, most hardcore guilds don’t bring shadow priests at all, just a healer weaver.
I wonder how many players minds are going to be blown when they realize you can’t toss a thousand debuffs on an enemy and faceroll it.
You actually have to plan what you’re debuffing the boss with.
I rather have boomkin in caster group for the cri aura, battle Rez and other stuff
“What’s shadow weaving???”
He’s a paladin, he’d rather replace all locks with smite priests
Had three hunters in an MC raid kept using Serpent Stings and pushed my Curse of Shadow off the table. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy.
Debuff slots are hunter loot!!!
Sage post. If you don’t go all out on consumables (Lei of Lillies, Mana Pots, Nightfin Soup, Dark Runes. Etc.), you will be wanding for much of the fight. Having Blessing of Wisdom really helps. Your comment about time to down bosses is exactly why I have a druid routinely innervating me. Our healers aren’t in danger of going oom on most fights because the DPS is so high. On later content, I’ll probably go Infusion/weaving.
Shadow weaving is garbage. So that +15%, if you have 7 Shadow Warlocks in your raid, then congrats you can actually get one ‘extra’ DPS player in your raid.
They didn’t even realize that in actualy vanilla.
Big shoutout to the healadin in T2 with thunderfury, and no sunders anywhere to be seen. This forum would have you convinced such things never happened, that only the most optimized characters got to raid, yet history says otherwise.
Id bring a healing priest with shadow weaving instead.
this one made me laugh so hard.
That just means your raid is bad
Well, we one shot every boss with no wipes, 30 players, and several people sub-60. If that’s bad, I’m not sure what constitutes good. Remember, Spriest can actually hit the boss right now. Warlocks be resisting
I’d replace the crappy warlock who is being resisted non-stop because of his lack of spell hit with a shadowpriest.
So many insecure casters get butthurt and threatened over shadowpriests.
