I tried to main feral at the start of Legion and absolutely LOATHED it. It turned me off of the class for a good while. I was smart enough to get 3/4 of the mage tower appearances (missed resto and regret it).
I’ve picked the class back up and it’s honestly been really fun. I don’t like feral for group content but it’s nice to solo with because of stealth and the toolkit. I love resto, balance is in a great spot and guardian seems to be doing pretty good too.
Druid is very versatile and there’s zero chance of all specializations not being strong during a patch.
I didn’t get far in leveling as balance, didn’t feel good imo.
Oh I don’t like leveling as balance. It’s in a good spot with its utility and dps though.
Are you ‘maining’ restro? Have you completed the most important part of being a druid? You know, building a mog?
My main is a NE druid-with stealth and shadowmeld she can pretty much get out of anything. It’s great. I prefer balance though for dps. They ruined feral,use to be my favorite. I also tank and heal. No other class is as fun for me.
Yea pretty much. I’m the OP and this is my druid. One of my many mogs I change weekly (maybe more frequent lol).
Yea balance > feral all day for dps.
Feral is amazing at soloing old raids though.
Resto is super good and fun.
Balance is super good but ive played it so much, starting to get bored of it.
Guardian is solid but can be boring too.
I actually like leveling and world content with balance. Pull everything in sight with moonfire/Sunfire and toss down some starfalls.
Lmao. Look fab tho. The Class Hall set is the only one that I actually think looks better than the original MOP set. The fall colors are just lovely.
I wish they had the same shoulders as the CM MoP set cause the glowing effects the CM set gives is what makes it stand above the legion set.
The fall set for sure looks nice but its missing that flair. I wish they had actually gone and made different color variants for the sets based on what spec you completed the CM challenges on.
Using DK as an example it just doesn’t fit Blood or Unholy much to glow blue all the time.
<3 my druid main. However, I do feel a bit lacking 1v1 against most classes in pvp and the strength of the class used to be mobility which is 4th rate now compared to monks,DH,Warriors,Hunters (Hunters used to be the only class that you couldn’t kite). BUT I do everything else so well that it’s ok. I feel they made balance into a range dps support class or you have to heal, there is no 1v1 since feral is kinda bleh atm. I can throw down a metric crap ton of aoe dps in pvp if I can sit in the back ranks with the healer.
As balance you can aoe grind like a mofo just need to utilize your cool downs and have the right talents. Bear grinding is fun and at lower ilvls it’s great to keep you alive. I prolly should try and spec single target so I can see if that helps in pvp more but too much fun laying the aoe smack down.
Making this Druid has easily been the best experience I’ve had this entire expansion.
Balance is fun as hell. It’s been my go to for years. Legion was better but I’ve learned to like the bfa version.
There are just so many small things with druid that make playing it so much fun. Yeah, we’re not a particularly flashy class, but the actual play experience is buttery smooth.
It has an amazing toolkit.
I have a 120 of each class and since the patch this is the only one I play.
Played the heck out of druid during legion and loved every minute of it. I’ve never been able to work out playing feral at a level I’m happy with, but 3/4 felt pretty good.
The real hook for me has always been balance. I really like how it handles, and I absolutely love having one class with both rdps and a tank spec. I’d likely still be playing druid if guardian hadn’t felt so lackluster in BfA compared to Legion.
Druid is fun…but Guardian is a meat shield with no magic mitigation unless you get the HoA ability from mechagon. It is also super super simple rotation. Actually most boring of all tanks…
When you spec feral for AOE, big mobs are so much fun. You have to try really hard to kill a cat in decent gear. I’ve been having a blast with feral this expansion, well since they “fixed” it.
I’ve been tanking on my pally so I’m sure guardian will feel a big lacking comparatively but as long as it gets the job done I can go back to healing which I honestly do enjoy.
