I’m thinking about cancelling my year sub and just let it die in April.
It honestly seems to me that WoW lacks to do anything really new. Sure we’ll have delves, but honestly it seemed exciting at first, but now looking at it, it looks like a thing that i’ll get bored with after a few tries. Other than that, everything is basically remaining the same.
The story is honestly a hot mess. And tbh, i don’t think Metzen will fix it. I also feel like the story is to kiddy for me. Not saying this to be a edgelord or anything. But i feel like the story is like a Saturday morning cartoon story. As a adult, i want more mystery, something darker, something interesting that you would least expect, etc, especially with the dark themes WoW will soon have.
I’m afraid those darker themes will be destroyed because the devs don’t know their audience.
On top of that, tbh i don’t know how much more i can take of microtransactions, yes they are optional, but it feels like the microtransaction people get more interesting things, while we regular payers just get recolors and reskins.
And rn the class design is really bad imho. The whole this class is better one season, then the next season it’s trash. And oh you can’t try new roles either because the community isn’t mentally stable enough for you to mess up on a new role.
Just remember you are awesome. I support you in whatever you decide. Be kind to yourself and explore other games until the spark comes back if it does. If not, you have some wonderful memories throughout the years.
I truly believe with all my heart that these next three expansions will be a TON of fun. I mean, think of all the adventures in Quel’Thalas! We’ll be wandering around through ghostlands and go 'OH WOW LOOK IT’S A GHOST"! Doesn’t get better than that.
When I’m not feeling it, I unsub. Then when I want to do something in the game again, my sub comes back on. It’s the way of the world, if you aren’t feeling it by all means unsub and only come back if it feels worth it to you.
That’s why I never buy multiple month bundles though. You’re ready to be done with the game right now as far as I can tell, but you have it for another 3+ months. That’s called being a sucker, don’t fall for it. I always operate under the impression that I could quit at any time so saving a few bucks on a bundle is not something I’ll risk doing.
It’s all because I bought three months of everquest and then didn’t play one month total. I swore that would never happen again and I happily pay my 15 bucks every month. My brother bought me three months like a year ago and I spent over half of that not playing, so the point stands. Only buy what you are 100% sure you will use.
