I'm sorry dvs but what do you have on your mind?

I understand that you have to make adjustments to things that you don’t even test yourself. that go live broken, but then nerf us to the ground to transform a class into crap, how can they think that’s okay? You don’t realize that this game is paid 15 dollars a month? Why don’t you take the trouble to Get a group of agents to test the classes, paying them as if they were just another worker. The truth is, they are lazy, but to charge 90 dollars a buck, there is no problem.

Anyone who thinks this has zero clue about game development. I’m not defending Blizzard here; they’ve screwed up badly. But this is not ‘lol lazy devs’. If anything it’s the opposite.

This is almost certainly not a dev problem. It’s a management problem. It’s management cutting positions to save costs and pushing unrealistic deadlines, so that you have people trying to do too much too fast without proper time or staff to test, and in some cases on areas where they’re really not the best qualified person to do it but the one’s who ARE are even more snowed under with work than you. All this while you have been staying nights working overtime for the last month and haven’t had more than 5 hours of sleep in a long long time. There’s a reason burnout in this industry is so high.

Again… I’m not defending Blizzard, the state of things right now isn’t acceptable, but it makes my teeth hurt every time I see ‘lazy devs’ trotted out.

I understand what you’re saying but for years they’ve been doing anything with the balance, it’s like they don’t see the game and they put random numbers and we see what happens… lazy dvs

Yeah watching closely my pet theory is its more inefficiency rather than anything else. Image putting weeks or months or whatever into a rework then scrapping all that effort by hotfixing it to do less damage then before and leaving the class worst off then it was when it was kinda fine if you considered the state of it without bugs. People like to say its easier to nerf the top but sometimes it is unironically simpler to just keep reworking the bottom if the top is in an acceptable range.

Could also be an insight issue since actual good ele nerfs would be targeted at chain lightning and earthquake post rework.
