“You think you do, but you don’t” - J. Allen Brack
This is somehow even worse than era. What a waste of money this experience has been, and based off the data more than half the people that tried SoD agree.

Better or worse than newworld lol.
Newworld was great. But they dropped the ball with their amazon servers and furthermore killed the game with its poor gear design and repetitive nature of obtaining it. No one wants to go around looting chests to raise arbitrary gearscore that gatekeeps what type of stat you can get. It was all so tedious
Wow at least does not have that problem because gear is gatekept through lockouts
Dont forget gamebreaking bugs like dragging your program around making you invincible
What a weird fallacy.
This isn’t Classic. This is modified Classic. A person that said “Classic was bad” isn’t right just because you don’t like modified Classic.
Weird weird fallacies these days, man.
I’m failing to grasp your point.
Brack was arguing that you don’t want to play the old game, as it was. SoD is deliberately not the old game, as it was.
I think Classic completely proves him wrong. Original Classic was the most authentic version, and the most successful. The more #changes they’ve done, the less successful and popular Classic has been. The lesson here is people thought they did, and they did. And the Classic team had to start putting their stamp on the product, and that’s been a failure.
Id be more likely to agree, except sod is exactly the old game with bloatware runes slapped on top of it.
Thank you for your opinion sir. We thank you for your continued support as well. Just keep paying your bill, thank you.
So, can i get your gold?
So many people laughed at him. And over the last 5 years, all we’ve seen on the forums is whining and complaining about every other feature or lack of feature in the game. Dungeon Finder, Dual Spec, GDKP’s, bots, class balance, pvp battleground complaints, rewards vs time, raid sizes, blah blah blah.
Dude was a hero.
Class balance aside I am not sure what these developers are doing. They have so much to work with and choose to do the bare minimum.
Where is the challenging 5 man content? Why is the PVP event not in a more compact zone such as arathi highlands that is easily more accessible to both horde and alliance factions. Why is the raid not in a contested zone like uldaman in the badlands for pvp opportunities.
I could go on for several paragraphs but I wish they would diversify the updated content to more than just a singular raid and rune content.
Honestly, I think making gnomer a seven day lockout was a major major mistake. You’re trying to protect all these Dad gamers for no reason because they have nothing to lose from not doing it for one reset and in the meantime, everybody else found different game to play because you left us with nothing.
Classic doubled WoW’s subs, according to Blizz. At the time, anyway.
Dude was a dunce.
But why is this thread in SoD forums? SoD is NOT what Brack was talking about.
Why would a 3 day lockout matter? There’s nothing to do in the game but raid log for the next 3 months.
Class balance is terrible. Warlocks out dps nearly every class with only incinerate damage. Mages one hit kill any class with a 2500+ damage instant cast spell. I don’t even care to list them all. It seems like specific classes are targeted for buffs/nerfs based solely on what the dev team personally plays.
Pvp is completely unplayable, BGs with 9-14 uncoordinated strangers is the most toxic time waster anyone could possibly invent, it’s worse than medieval torture methods.
I bought Helldivers 2 and I’ve had more fun in the last 2 hours than I have at any point since November in this game.

Yes it’s a new game. You’ll be on their forums whining soon enough.
Tbf the problem is not Blizzard doing changes to classic it’s Blizzard making bad changes to classic
I mean that’s purely opinion.
I don’t personally care about era in the least, but SoD at least was fun for P1 and hopefully I’ll get the drive to play again in P2… but no dual spec, is a big negative.

There’s a lot wrong with phase 2, but phase 1 was a blast. As someone who played during vanilla and came back for classic / SOD, I can say I am having a lot of fun experiencing the new content and runes. Sure there’s a lot of improvements they can make for phase 2, they really should make major class changes to fix the pvp. Also add more content than just gnomer and stv. We need some quest lines that take weeks to complete and give unique items, sleeping bag is a good example of something really cool the designers made.
I don’t want retail though. It’s either classic, some iteration of classic or another game entirely.
New World was incredible except for a some major things
It had such amazing potential but they ruined it
1 - The lag in pvp was atrocious, especially large scale. it was unplayable garbage which hurt the game a lot. (sort of like the STV event)
2 - The game had no variety. Enemies, dungeons, bosses, locations, aesthetics, etc, were all the same across the board. It made the repetitive game that it was feel even worse.
3 - No mounts was a terrible decision.
4 - Small scale pvp had 1 single mode. 20 v 20 and it was 1 mode and 1 map and you played it over and over and that was all. How bloody boring is that?
5 - End game was very limited. No raids. Elite zones in the open world got extremely boring very quickly. It was so undercooked and they never brought it up to speed.
