I'm so confused, please help

Longtime DH, first time pally. Before anyone jumps on me, Veng has been a kinda hot mess lately and wanted to try something. Not digging momentum in raid, fine for keys. So this is prot warrior off spec for high keys and ret for raid and now keys with guilds.

I need help. I have no idea what to craft or get for embellishments. The sites say that frost fire belt but I don’t have a mythic diurnas ring. So is radiant fire?

I got gold. Should I double shadowfire armor embellishment on some crafted armor? Also how is the shadowfire weapon enchant? Ideally I could use the embellishments and crafted gear for prot and ret.

I was thinking crafted ring with haste crit and shadowflame. The other being wrist with shadowflame and add weapon enchant shadowflame.

I’m a main tank so somewhat new to dps but digging it. Please help and no flames. Ret is super fun.

I’ll take all the pointers I can get

Ok first off

Learn the specs of the class you’re playing before you try and learn

Probably the most unhelpful post I’ve seen in a while. Congrats.

Not really, you said prot warrior and ret. While these are specs they’re just not on the same class.

How am I supposed to know you didn’t know that? You put

Gotta start with the basics imo

Don’t worry my guy, I’ll actually help you.

You don’t need the ring to proc the belt and the ring will fall off anyways as there’s plan to nerf it.

Get Frostfire Belt and throw Shadowfire embellishment on some crafted boots so you can have all your tier slots available. Avoid crafting a ring since you’ll be using Onyx Annulet and avoid wrists because it provides less stats than crafting boots.

Basics of what? You didn’t specify anything.

Omg, you knew what I meant. I had some drinks at a bar when I typed this, psyched about ret over the dumpster fire that is havoc and asked for some help. I get it though, 3k prot pally clearing 20s already. You’ve earned your right to be condescending.

Everyone knew what he meant. You’re nitpicking while someone is asking for help.

And you’re nitpicking the help I provided

I knew what you typed, I don’t know you or what goes on in your head

You provided no help.

This is not helpful. You provided no help. You didn’t even give him a location where he could read or learn.

Don’t. It won’t end unless he gets the last word. You see the pettiness. Luckily OP got a little help here.

If your still looking for any advise you can’t really go wrong with the belt as mentioned already having the ring is a nice bonus but not required. If you don’t raid and only play m+ you could possibly craft the bracers or legs they lose a ton of value in a raid setting, the other option is taking 2 shadowflame patches there’s kind of no wrong answer. I personally crafted the frost fire belt and boots with shadowflame patch as a good all round mix

Good point actually, I can’t believe I made a bigot mistake and assumed they could read and learn

M diurna ring just helps since fire procs make it do more damage, but focusing on crafts:

frostfire is okay damage and good to help kite, and shadowflame patch for more DPS.

embellishments don’t really make or break the spec tbh. I’m still using lariat because 0 luck with necks. it’s been nerfed a lot + we lost sockets during the gearing phase, but in general prot pallies aren’t super reliant on embellishments

Onyx annulet falls off prot paladin wants haste/mastery from crafted ring way more than the annulet procs (annulet has more offensive potential though)

Be nice if your just going to act the way you are stop replying you arent helping anyone

Thanks all. Went with boots and shadowflame, working on the belt. Need to spend some time farming fiery soul now. Still digging pally.

What is a bigot mistake? I don’t know you and therefore I don’t understand you and therefore I am unable to give any useful responses. Beep boop bop
