My last iota of investment in her character died when she left the Horde. Now I’m just stuck with overwhelming apathy towards her. My brain just checks out every single time she shows up on screen now. Like I’m not even mad. Just exhausted and uninterested. I really couldn’t care less how they decide to end Sylvanas’ story now.
This is even worse. Because even during the Thrall overdose I felt like I still cared about his story, just wished there was less of it. I would have noticed if Thrall had suddenly vanished from the plot. Can’t say the same for Sylvie anymore.
I feel the same OP, Sylvanas has really made the narrative take a huge downgrade in general to make her “master plan” works and so far it has been just WoD 2.0 but with the writers hyping her plans as something David Xanatos would envy.
I just wish Blizzard were to stop pushing their pet characters in the plot at every turn they can(Nathanos, Anduin, Jaina, Baine, etc) as well
Gotta have some movers in the plot, my main problem with Sylvanas is how the writers seem content to let her get away with just about anything and everything.
I mean, a story with Council of Three Hammers and the Bilgewater Cartel as the main faction focuses would just be a hard sell, y’know what I’m sayin’?
I mean, this kind of applies to BfA and Legion with her too. Despite having a looming impact on the story, Sylvanas has never really had a presence outside of the big cinematics the last few expansions. She’s used as a marketing tool to show off, but not anywhere else compared to someone like Jaina or Anduin.
Why do people hate on Tyrande so much? It makes literally zero sense to me.
She’s been in maybe two cinematics and like one zone 2-4 years ago. Where is this fatigue coming from? Did you have Anduin or Saurfang fatigue back when they were the sadboys-in-chief?
My brain up and leaves my body the moment I see the words “World of Warcraft” or when I consider the gameplay, story, or aesthetics in any way, so I’m with you there, bud.
