I'm retconning this entire expac in my head

Legion happened. The giant sword was stuck in Azeroth but we had to fight off corruption and we did something. I honestly don’t want to remember this story at all when it looks like a bunch of random people could have thrown darts to see what story they could ruin.

The final boss and his so-called visions were supposed to be BFA instead of this fanfiction nonsense called “Show your faction pride after we banded together and defeated the biggest force in the universe”.

I refuse to accept this tripe served on a pile of poop as story at all. Apparently Old Gods are noobs who need to git gud.

I’m trying to, but all of this mess happened and left scars in Azeroth so it’s really hard to ignore it…

I think the lore is beyond saving at this point.

Oh no my tree burned

Oh no the squid god who was the weakest old god had a lame death,

lore ruined!

Is not all that happened in BfA and since Blizzard is choosing to ignore everything that happened in BfA, these things will never be concluded.

the next xpac is literally about sylvanas? what are they ignoring again?

Oh a patch about sylvanas, how bold! Never seen that before. I’m talking about the relations between the factions, basically everything that happened after Teldrassil is wonky at best and doesn’t make any sense at all.
How can I enjoy the lore when the writers are okay with genocide against innocents and just leave that unanswered.

Even better, reward the horde with new land.

literally next xpac lol

Next expansion is not going to deal with that. Did you forget that the Horde is already forgiven even though they didn’t show any regret?
Same thing will happen with Sylvanas when she blames it on the jailer and then we celebrate that the shadowlands are free while the souls in the maw are crying for help

It sure is gonna deal with that, and the souls told you already, and blizzard already said that the jailer is a pawn to sylvanas

They never said that we would get to free all the souls

If you think anyone responsible for teldrassil is going to get punished or lose anything you’re just being foolish at this point. Sylvanas surviving and getting redeemed is not even a question at this point.

oh your a dev now, maybe you should try harder that cinematic wasnt that good should had a bit more stuff in it.

I mean what makes you think that Sylvanas will die or pay for what she did, I really don’t understand.

cause she is a villain and villains most of the time die.

You mean like the Horde in BfA? The Horde that was forgiven and didn’t even say sorry or gave back the land?

Also no villain that we just killed off had a loyalist option so far.

Sylvanas isnt playable so she doesnt have that plot armor unfortunately

you should play the loyalist quests

Sylvanas is actually exactly the same as the Horde in terms of playing as Sylvanas loyalist / Horde loyalist.

I did, and a redemption is heavily hinted just like for the Horde (without the part where anyone has to make up for genocide)

hinted at redemption lol Sometimes I think you honestly the biggest sylvanas fan in here.

I think you just hate the race you play and like the series of tragedy and insults happening to the race by rewarding those that commited genocide against it with land, have all their guilt taken away from them and the single person they blame it on redeemed.

That’s why we’re talking past each other.

non of this happened, stop injecting your headcanon in lore arguments

or even better prove it, show me one line that has the horde owning ashenvale or other land at the end of 8.3 please prove it to me instead of just screaming

Except literally all of it happened, besides the sylvanas redemption part which you’ll have to wait until the end of shadowlands for.

Who had full control over Ashenvale the last time? The Horde.
Did the Night Elves fully reconquer it? Nope.

Peace treaty = stop attacking others land. Night Elves stopping to attack Horde land (they are also back in Stormwind so they did give up on it it seems)
