I'm really confuse why people think playing Hardcore solo is going to have longevity

this is an MMO hardcore or not playing 1-60 to only interact with people via dungeons is not fun, nor is it fun to play 99% of the game solo and nobody wants to do any elite quiest/group quest content. I am sorry call me a complainer, but I just lost interest in Hardcore and will be playing Era Fresh

that’s fine :expressionless:
i’m playing era fresh too, I miss doing PvP. i’ll probably get back to hardcore again at some point though

Hardcore is not neceesarily a solo challenge - only if you ticked that Solo Self Found box at the character create screen. You can disable SSF in Ironforge or Orgrimmar at the Apprentice Watchers Fero or Morta.
Or possibly, maybe, you’re on a fresh account? Then for your first 30 days you won’t be able to trade, use AH or mailbox. Don’t shoot at me. This is Blizz’s inane anti-botting idea that bothers players way more than bots.

Even if you check Self-Found it only prevents trading and not grouping. Some SF players will decline all group invites but that is their choice not based on the game rule.

I know, and it seems OP does as well, as he writes:

I do not know from where OP has gotten the rest of what he writes. And this is why I simply fire different ideas at him.

I’ve seen what you’re saying while playing Alliance, but that isn’t really an issue for Horde.

I’m not sure why there is such a marked difference, but Alliance players generally seem less friendly. Especially with stealing mobs.

I played Horde on Skull Rock since the release of Hardcore: its easy to find groups for quests, you get buffs from players passing by and people will help you if you’re in trouble (as long as you don’t look like a lost cause). Even now with it being low pop, it feels more alive and friendly than playing Alliance on the fresh server.

I rolled Alliance on the new server because I was originally Alliance in Vanilla, and wanted the nostalgia hit. I’ve had way more trouble with people playing in a sort of anti-social way on the Alliance side. The most obvious thing is people not sharing buffs or buffing back. That seems so strange after years of playing Horde. I’ve also had a lot of trouble with people trying to snake mobs on the Alliance side. Generally, Alliance seems to play in the more solo/anti-social way you’re describing.

Having a fantastic time finding great people to group with. I buff everyone I see and others do the same.

Did have one douch linen bag get angry at me in LFG channel because I listed my addons as the following:

(Seems dude is angry if people aren’t using addons).

I have played this character solo and have enjoyed every second of it. I get its not fun for YOU, but you don’t speak for everyone. It may shock you, but people play WoW in many different ways. Have fun in Era!

It’s not a matter of alliance vs horde, it’s the fact that the fresh servers attract hype-chasers and streamer fanboys (lost count of how many ā€œfangā€-associated guild names I’ve seen), which, combined with the much larger population, leads to some seriously anti-social behaviour. When you have 10 layers of players, there’s no need to be nice to them: either they or you will die and never see each other again. I play SR Alliance and now DH Horde, and they are polar opposites, just like in your case.
