I spent 10k to get the final upgrade because I heard about the toys/transmog/mount you could get. What I diddn’t realize was that to get them you have to find a mirror that randomly spawns in 7 different locations each week. I looked for 1.5 hours this morning and couldn’t find a single mirror to repair. I’m very sad right now. I could’ve just upgraded the anima tendrils and gotten the back transmog for the world rare.

Heads-up: all the optional content in Shadowlands is dreadful.

It’s kinda annoying, but the mirrors are in sets that only change once a week. They are listed in several places online, such as the Wowhead comments or on Warcraft wiki pages.
Fortunately, they have location information to help you find them easier. Once you’ve found the set that is up for the week, you can revisit them once a day to get loot from them until they change (and as long as you have repair kits).
