So I made a decision today to get off of A52. Over the spam, over the bots on the AH. I’m looking for recommendations of a med-high EST server. Good horde population, good economy.
Am I shooting for the stars here or does one server exist? Seems like we have megaservers and the rest are dead.
All of the high pop servers will have the exact same things you’re leaving A52 to avoid.
Medium then? I would still like to see some bodies, girls gotta eat.
You can try elune. I have my alliance toons there, its medium pop. Id say kilrogg but my horde server is low pop.
I wish they didn’t break the realm population sites. 
Kilrogg lost alot of pop status after the guild Dishonored left. Didnt realize how much they carried our pop until after they left.
Illidan might be the closest to what you’re looking for but if it’s better than Area52 it’ll only be marginally.
I know some folks on bleeding hollow. It’s pretty chill over there.
Could take a look at zuljin as well. I don’t know if its more on the large WTS or medium side, but it definitely has people

If you want to avoid trade spam, your best bet is a low pop server, but this brings all the disadvantages of being on a low pop server.
Illidan is the absolute worse server going by why they’re leaving A52. The last time I was on that server it was nothing but chinese spam on trade chat 24/7. It’s so bad that you have to have an addon to filter out all chinese text.
Thrall seems good I have my horde toons on that server. I don’t really pay attention to the AH but there’s a lot of chat happening. Hope this helps and good luck.
If they do I’m on zul’jin and they can give me a chat. There are a few bots but they are reported and usually dealt with.
Giga cap. That place is like the exodia of what OP is stating. A52 is pretty tame.
All servers are having the AH bot problem and spam.
Eonar seems pretty tame, but I think it’s mostly a ghost town.
I’m on the Thunderhorn realm group and its active in the evenings and weekends. I’m a solo player but always see folks about. I think there’s nine total realms connected in my group.
If you do make a toon over here, steakems is also one of my characters or fuzzierbutt.

Malganis is a pretty solid med pop server.
