I'm ready for some major shake ups with WoW

and I think that Microsoft is going to bring that.
I am very hyped for the future of WoW and think that after the current team gets done pooping out the rest of their content (11.0 probably?) and are replaced, WoW will take over again. Especially if it brings in a flood of new players and we can cross play with xbox. All 2 of my friends that have an xbox are really looking forward to seeing WoW come to their console.

This stuff always takes time.

as it should, WoW should be labeled “handle with care” as it is passed over to Microsoft, it’s very fragile and is already broken and missing many fragments.

Maybe 11.0 could bring back archeology and we can rediscover those fragments and help microsoft build a better WoW for us.

Archeology mining sounds

“Congratulations, you have rediscovered Glyph’s and Inscription being relevant again.”
“Congratulations, the CRZ system has been removed, realms have been properly merged and you will now have communities again.”

Everyone needs to calm down with this Microsoft merger that hasn’t actually went through yet. Temper your expectations, Kotick isn’t designing the game.

I honestly don’t really expect much to change but I’m curious if people will still “REE Blizzard” or if they’ll “REE Microsoft” now

unless they want the ip and game to sink I would highly expect them to shake things up and try and revive the game. Most servers are ghost towns now. People love warcraft and will absolutely come back if it is worth it.

The choices for MMORPG games are very disappointing

I think people are expecting too much out of this. Yes it’s a corporate change, but will things end up better, worse or stay the same? Players have labeled AvB as the boogeyman for so long that I think they’re just happy to see someone different, anyone at all will do. But it doesn’t mean Microsoft will be a savior of any kind. We don’t know what the effects will be and won’t until the end of 10.0 or into 11.0. Still years away.

Microsoft is also not the one making WoW. Blizzard is still their own company even during all of this. They are the ones who make the game decisions. Microsoft isn’t likely to just fire half the dev teams and establish their own dictatorship over WoW and other Blizz games. Even Activison was not doing that. Kotick only cared about the finances, Blizz is entirely responsible and independent for designing their own games.

Especially because WoW is still in general being successful and profitable. It’s not tanking so much that the overlords have to take over. 10.0 will strongly renew the interest as all expansions do, so wait and see what Blizz does before labeling it as horrible! Look to them for changes in WoW, not Microsoft.

I think more people should be vocal and praise the change, a lot of talk and positivity around the change could influence microsoft to try more. If everyone just stayed silent about it and just let is roll around, “meh, it’s years away… whatever.” We won’t get any improvements if even the bare minimum.

I’m sure Microsoft has some major plans with WoW and will probably go head to head with FFXIV’s success because for some reason SE and Microsoft do not click very well and they won’t put FFXIV on xbox for some reason. It’s always a rumor but it goes nowhere. WoW would be their seat at the table not ESO.

I’m still laughing at the “all 2 of my friends that have an xbox”

Anyway, I think we are all ready for some major shake ups. I want to see this game do really well again and I think it’s very possible.

lol everyone I know who games on console went with Playstation. Most still haven’t even been able to get a new console. I do know a few hardcore CoD fans that are worried, but most of them had one foot out of the door anyway with CoD for reasons I do not know. I have played the game like a handful of times, the zombie version.

Sweet Sylvanas, I hope not. The last thing we need is unwashed console peasants walking around like they own the place.

I want this game to be as successful as possible. This kind of logic holds that back.

Quantity is not synonymous with quality.

^ Gatekeeper logic. FFXIV is very successful using crossplay with playstation and PC. Xbox would be stupid not to work towards having that themselves.

How old are you bashing console players? Sounds like something a middle schooler would do. Who wants to get into PC gaming in 2022 with 1000$ graphics cards? Gamers are gamers, who cares if they are on console or PC. Stop trolling or just stop being weird.

I don’t think there are any major shakeups unfortunately. However, you’re right that’s what it needs. A huge makeover for Azeroth would be a good start and after SL would be a good time to do it because in theory we’ve been away from the world for a couple of years.

Exactly. WoW is still making money so MS isn’t going to mess with that. Especially after being a new acquisition. If MS thinks WoW can make more money later on down the line they’ll start to shake things up. But thats a lot of work and will take time, like years.

hope there is. I mean, it makes sense that they would at the very least try to put WoW on console right? - more revenue for them…
they really need to make the game better though due to clueless bobby milkdrinker doing so much damage, hey question is negative charged Ion going aswell, he is just as bad in my eyes…

“It seems that you’re having trouble with this dungeon. Would you like some tips?” :paperclip:
