Remember all those posts about the “sad state of feral”?
This ones for you , kid.
Feral’s punching above it’s perceived weight in the first week, coming out strongly especially on fights with heavy single target. The last minute change to convoke the spirits which inflated the value of the covenant heavily, combined with this the Berserk changes in Shadowlands gave feral incredibly high burst, competing with some of the best burst in the game which is a nice bonus on several of the fights where damage amplification effects come into play.
I’ll be honest, my conflict so far is coming from liking feral and balance both enough that settling down into one os hard… like, cat is just so much freaking fun…balance is so much freaaaking fun…occasionally tanking or healing is just a joy…I love druid.
Dude, travel-MOUNT form works in the maw. Tested it with my priest friend. Feels goood.
I probably wont raid much either, too busy for committed raid slot. …think we can (fairly soon) just pug normal for that all-around leggo drop? I kinda want that thing…
That is certainly one way of looking at it. It would seem that Feral abilites actually do good damage, it’s just that energy regen is currently what previously gated their dps. Turns out when you can slot in something to do in a window where you otherwise wouldn’t have something to do, you gain damage.
Also it’s performance is extremely sensitive to fight length. In a 15-30 second encounter it’s gawdly powerful. Drag that fight out to a minute fifty and you better be using it in the right places are we can drop off the face of a cliff quickly.
