Maybe you should tell the swtor community how fun it is, maybe post on the swtor forums and join a swtor guild
Oh wait
Its more dead than wrath

Tell me you don’t play Old Republic without telling me you don’t play Old Republic.
There are quite a few huge guilds, to the point where they have to have multiple guilds, and they’re extremely friendly, do all sorts of content and there’s tons of competition for Conquest, along with forums that are actually quite active.
Not only do I check the forums there bcz they are active & I enjoy some of the story / lore questions.
And there’s that unofficial but default SWTOR discord that works as a community space too that’s super active and I always love people showing off their art or screenshots.
Also a close knit community on SWTOR twitter.
So I’ve never had an issue feeling a sense of community w SWTOR whether on fleet or planets or people doing stuff or world bosses.
Is it as big as WoWs? No but I haven’t seen anyone claim it was. But people saying that community doesn’t exist make no sense.
STO is still very much alive. Its free to play with an option to pay a lifetime sub for 300 bucks. Theres no more option of paying a monthly sub anymore.
to be rich in SWTOR, you need to become a literal IRL smuggler.
Bizarre and anime’ish… that tells me youve never seen many actual anime. this idea of something being “anime” is completely absurd. like going to a movie and watching Star Wars and saying “I hate movies”.
if anything WoW is the biggest shounen anime MMO out there, I can point to so many plot points that seemed ripped off from popular shounen tropes. We have literally Kamehameha’d two big bads, one via Thrall and one via Wrathion. Though no one says “I dont play wow, its too anime.”
Until you hit endgame and there’s nothing to do.
It’s always great to experience something new. Hard to compare “new” to a game this old, right?
Come back and tell us how much you’re enjoying SWTOR a year from now. It was an amazing leveling experience, I’ll give it that. But that’s all there is unless you’re a fan of huttball.
Yeah it was fun waiting several months for a 2 hour story mission and a buggy flash point I literally couldn’t complete for 3 months (Malgus kept pulling me under the map.). Was great.
It is not better, and your lying to yourself if you think it is. That game is dead and dying and should be put out of it is misery.
I will smuggle panda goods through the hyperdrive lanes! Ha
New world still has a 2 to 3 thousand people playing doesnt mean it isnt dead
Your definition of “dead” is so bad that it’s not even worth having a conversation with you.
“There are thousands that still play this game, do raiding and event content and dungeons and are in extremely populated areas, but game’s dead!”
300 dollars for a lifetime sub on a game that has been on its death bed for who knows how long, when you can get quite literally infinite content out of a 25 dollar game like minecraft
Dead or not the game sucks lol
cool story bro
I feel like the only thing SW:TOR has to show off in 2023 is full voice acting and the Star Wars IP, neither of which makes for a better MMORPG.
Dead or not the game sucks lol
“I realized I have no real argument, so I’ll just make another bad argument by trying to voice my opinion as fact!”
neither of which makes for a better MMORPG
It’s just different. Different type of gearing, Different type of events, different type of grouping, different type of transmog, etc.
But literally every other game does transmog better than WoW. And Old Republic housing is great.
The leveling experience in Swtor is great, but that is about it. The end game does not even come close to WoW.
The codex which gives written details of every zone and new creature you come across is incredible and helps flesh out the game. Wish Blizzard had it.
Swtor animations are clunky and the game lags terribly at times. I love companion system.
Being set during the Old Republic era was a terrible decision. They should of set it during the Galactic era with characters we all know. Would of loved to play a stormtrooper.
i was gonna play it yesterday haven’t touched it since it released but not being into the whole sci-fi genre.
graphics were alright not a huge deal breaker for me. the issue i have i think is like with ff14 the animations don’t feel totally smooth when walking it feels and looks like im walking on a treadmill going in the opposite direction and it’s noticeable and bother tf out of me.
main reason i play WoW is just the story everything else for me isn’t much up for debate like idc much for m+, raiding i like feels more like old school mmorpg’s in that sense. pvp not much my thing. outside of that it’s basically just a time issue like yea i can play WoW here and there but eventually fall further behind even with catch up mechanics and gear.
