So like everyone else, I tried Shadowlands thinking it would be great.
I’m a huge PVP player and I play a lot of classic.
I’ve been leveling a warlock in Shadowlands and got it to 60 with ilvl 180. I think as of now, it’s pretty decent for arenas.
My first match, I received 2 aim shot for 25K which basically one shot me.
Second match, got cheap shot by a rogue and 1 second later (I’m not joking, for real 1 second), I was dead.
Third match, ret paladin came in a rolled on me like I was non existing.
This game is so unbalanced which makes me wonder if Blizzard even tested classes in PVP.
Yeah you’re right, this is probably me, game is 100% balanced. Just checking the other posts on the forum, they all say it’s my fault, I’m a bad player.
I don’t think anyone is making that claim, so I’m not sure where you got that from. People are just saying you have multiple tools at your disposal for dealing with these situations.
You shouldn’t talk about yourself like that. Half of my sucess in life has come from my overwhelming confidence. Fake it until you make it. That being said, it’s also important to acknowledge your weaknesses and improve. This type of meta is new, it necessitates proactive decision making, so I suggest working on that first and foremost.
This game is fun and funny, annihilating people and getting annihilated is the best part about it. Have not had this much fun in PvP for a while. So I think your opinion is wrong, goodbye.
If you’re playing skirms and not with a premade spriest or mage, then you’re probably just gonna get gibbed by the above classes.
You could port aimed shot if you see hunters mark though and prepare to gate to a safe line and wall on damage.
Succubus on rogue and don’t die on the first opener somehow (pet tank sac battlemaster healthstone coil and wall). Don’t let him reset, try to save fear drs for his kidney via succubus.
I think you die to ret though if you don’t have md available to gib him or are able to kite him with gate port, but warlocks who play warlocks can comment on that better.
This can happen in Classic also, actually it can happen way way faster in Classic you can get literally globaled by a number of builds, and literally 1 shot by a few also.
I played skirms last night and died to a MM Hunter repeatedly, even through Dispersion I was getting destroyed. Mainly because I’d be at 20% before I even knew I was getting hit. Outside of that, I caught myself feeling like I was safe for another global or so and then would die to something else.
The pacing has changed, and you just have to adjust yourself to not playing at BfA speed. BfA speed feels second nature and I’m paying big time for it right now thinking I can hold off on my defensive for another global. Adjust or fall behind.
I was ironically pointing the fact that I was expecting everyone to throw the ball on me without questioning the game. I might not be 100% the best player in the world, but I know how to play my class and I can tell you a 1 second 25K damage is not something I can deal with.
Holy crap your a god I never thought of this lmao. I know some hunters who don’t mark opener (either forgetting or to not show the opener). I’ll do the same with trueshot as well. tbf I’ve been lazy with setting up my omnibar/ui for this season
I’m about to peace out as well. Just hit 60, I’m so confused.
No doubt I can put time in watch/read some guides. But just a quick glance it seems bloated with systems upon systems :S
