Nope. Sounds like you need to stick to retail because Classic isnt for you.
Just about the community, the same group of people can act very differently depending on what sort of environment they’re put in. Stuff like sharding and cross realm zones did affect how I saw other players in the world.
ROFL
This is when I realized it.
You had me going for a couple minutes there, but nobody would ever say this in a serious way.
These guilds have cleared current content day 1 of patch release. It’s nothing new for them.
Don’t like it? Don’t play. You’ll help yourself, and you’ll help the queue!
I’m mad about classic because I don’t understand why people are excited about it
but why? why be angry that other people are having fun? What benefit does this serve you? You’ve made it very clear you have no interest in it. Move on, man.
I thought about writing out this huge lengthy and detailed post about all of the things you’re just not getting but it honestly would take to much time. Suffice to say Classic isn’t for you.
That’s because this is a troll post.
What a stupid thing to be mad about.
What a stupid thread.
I feel stupider for posting in it.
Same community but since we’re server locked we get to see the same faces everyday like we’re in one big school, and since content is hard it gives us a reason to help each other to finish a hard quest.
It is generally more hard compared to retail yes if there is a quest that says kill 12 mobs it would be much longer in retail just due to the mobs hitting hard, mana downtime, and constant parrying, blocks, glancing blows.
These are how talent trees are in most games they give small buffs and get somewhat better the more you go down in it, look at borderlands. I love to see what I’m gonna be aiming for in my tree next compared to I get one whole new ability/passive every 15 levels.
I somewhat agree with you on that it’s a plus and a minus but I assume most people are talking about how unique they are to one another or how old fantasy class spells were removed.
I started late legion and what makes the game fun for me is questing with friends I make and slowly progressing my toon compared to wear heirloom gear and speed run to 120 all gear you wear or find is useless. It sounds like classic isn’t your game which isn’t a bad thing at all. Don’t let the classic fanboys trash you for preferring retail and don’t be a retail baby that complains about classic instead of playing their game. I personally am having fun with the game and I’ve been playing as much as I can cause ive been having genuine fun. I played 15hrs straight yesterday which is something I’d never do with retail but it reminded me of my old COD/Halo days where games were actually fun idk.
Both games have their extremely good and bad points. But right now I’m having a lot more fun playing classic and it feels a lot more rewarding.
And getting mad at someone because they like a game or movie you don’t like… Life’s to short for that.
Are you sure?
Are you meeting new people? Have you found a guild that isnt silent soloers? Do you /w people on the same quest as you and ask to group up? Have you made friends with a tank or healer?
Vanilla wasnt about the gear, or the grind. It was the people you played it with that made it memorable. I still talk with people I met in vanilla, and I am so glad that more people I remember from then came out of the woodwork to play!
I hope you can find some enjoyment in the current version.
Some people like different things. You apparently don’t like an old school MMORPG, no problem with that at all.
You’re mad because other people enjoy a game and you don’t understand why?
Look, honey, I don’t understand why people like Fortnite but it doesn’t make me mad.
cLaSsIc Is HaRdMoDe
You’re not required by law to enjoy Classic. If you dont like it, dont play it. Thats how every game works.
Rocket League is really popular, but it bored me to tears. Fortnite is the most popular game in the world, and I couldnt be less interested.
If you arent having fun, then no one is going to tell you to keep playing.
Come back and say that when you’re in full BiS and ranked as one of the top teams in PvP. Oh, wait, that’s too hard.
Seriously, drop the egos.
Pull 3 murlocs on retail at level 8. Faceroll right? Now do the same in classic. Enjoy your corpse run.
I can only tell you why I like it and missed a lot of what it had as well and enjoying it now.
Servers are separate. You didn’t have cross servers so you had to rely on your reputation on that server. People would help more and group up for quests more. Also meant no LFG, actually had to put something together.
Talent tree- sure cookie cutter exists and 1 point here and there didn’t look like much but it was fun to get that point and place it where you want.
Guilds- you actually talk and help your guild out. No guild bank so you have to use the mail system to send gear. Meaning you have to use guild chat.
Mobs- low level mobs destroy you if you can’t pick one off or run away. Dying and running back taught control over your AOE and bars such as mana or energy. You hit to many you had no power.
Management - mana is important to the health of the team… rushing in when your healer has little mana meant actual death. It also reinforced DPS pulling they get no heals. Because heals focused on the tank who holds aggro.
Running every where- frustrating at times because you run forever at times you got to actually see the world they created.
Gear- green gear is good gear and if you get a blue piece you spam it for the epic value of that one piece. Because it’s actually rare.
Currency - no inflation and getting gold wasn’t as easy. You have to actually save it.
Abilities - you buy them all including your pets.
Pets - you actually have more control over them and train them
Certain things like poisons and soul shards. Yeah they take bag space but taking a soul from someone or making the poison to kill was fun for me and is fun now (just waiting for the quest)
Class quests - having quests for that class to learn an ability gave it a sense of accomplishment and added a special element to it. Sure every rogue has poison but you feel good after you get the quest done.
Class mounts - getting my dreadsteed meant something. The amount of gold, quests and dungeon was a time consuming event but then you put on your raid gear and ride that beast people knew you and other locks envied you.
All in all things I missed and things I will enjoy again. I have never cared about realm first, world first because I level slow and enjoy the scenery.
Yesterday I ran at level 15 all the way to ragefire dying about a million times. It was epic! I couldn’t do a thing in rage fire and hearthed out but still a blast. Especially when popping out of the instance and fighting some trolls there who were waiting at the entrance, they were confused at first of the little naked gnome running passed them to the cavern but soon gathered and would attack as I popped out and in.
